Several projects have been plagued by process control and have decided to learn workflow knowledge, I learned from the Internet that osworkflow is a lightweight and extremely flexible workflow engine (for details, visit: http://www.opensymphony.com/osworkflow), so take it to learn.
After an afternoon, I finally ran the built-in example. My testing environment: WINXP tomcat4.1.30 oracle8.05 jdk1.4.2.
First, download https://osworkflow.dev.java.net/files/documents/635/4647/osworkflow-2.7.0.zip. Unzip, copy the osworkflow-2.7.0-example.war to Tomcat's webapp, start Tomcat, access http: // localhost/osworkflow-2.7.0-example, everything is very easy.
Osworkflow provides multiple persistence mechanisms
Memorystore (default), serializablestore, jdbcstore, ofbizstore, and so on. Because the downloaded example is used to facilitate beginners to run the program as soon as possible, memorystore is used. The actual system does not keep all data in the memory. Change to jdbcstore.1. Modify Tomcat's Sever. xml and add:

5. Run src/etc/deployment/jdbc/oracle. SQL in the SQL-plus package.
