Why is it that you can't find a record in the Sent Items folder after you use Outlook to send the message?

For Outlook 2010

Open the Files tab and click Options.

On the left side of the Options window, click Mail, and from the Right detail window, locate and check "keep a copy of the message in the Sent Items folder."

For Outlook 2007

Open your mailbox and click Tools-Options on the menu bar.

On the Preferences tab, click the E-Mail Options button.

Locate and check the "keep copies of messages in Sent Items folder" option and press "OK" to save your changes.
