Due to the installation of other browsers and set them as the default browser, such as Google, Firefox, Security browser, when they uninstalled, found that the page link in Outlook cannot be opened, there are various problems.
What is the cause of this?
Once you have installed a different browser and set a default browser, the Web page in the message will be opened by default using this browser. Once the browser is uninstalled, the hyperlink's File type association or File application association or default using the uninstalled browser, using IE will not be able to open the link to the page in the message. In short, it is the file type and the application associated with the file that caused the error.
Below, the small series will give you a description of the solution in the XP and Windows7 system when the page in Outlook cannot be opened.

Tools/Materials
Microsoft Office Outlook
Registry Editor
Fault One
The page that opens the Outlook message pops up with the following error:
1, Chinese version: "This operation has been canceled due to the limitations of this machine. Contact your system administrator. "
2, English version: "This operation have been canceled due to restrictions effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator. "
This is due to a file type association error, as long as the file type association is repaired.
For a workaround for this failure, see "Method/Step 1"

END
Fault Two
Open a link to a webpage in Outlook Mail, and a dialog box pops up: "Locate the link browser",
This is due to a File application association error that requires the correct associated application to be repaired.
This failure is a failure of Outlook 2003 and is not relevant to the operating system, but the method of freeing XP and Win7 is not the same.
For a workaround for this failure, see "Method/Step 2"

END
Fault Three
When you open a link to a Web page in an Outlook message, the following error occurs,
"Generic error. The URL is: ..... .................. The application could not be found. ”
This is also because the file association application error caused the need to repair the associated correct application.
This error occurs when you use the version of Outlook 2007, which is not related to the operating system, but the method of freeing XP and Win7 is not the same.
See "Method/Step 2" for a workaround for this failure.
END
