Use shortcut keys instead of a mouse while working in Windows. You can use keyboard shortcuts to open, close, and navigate the Start menu, desktop, menus, dialog boxes, and Web pages. The keyboard can also make it easier for you to interact with your computer.
Click a title or press the TAB key to highlight the title, and then press ENTER.
  
General keyboard shortcuts

Ctrl + C copy.
Ctrl + X cut.
Ctrl + V paste.
Ctrl + Z Undo.
Delete Deletes.
Shift + DELETE Permanently deletes the selected item without placing it in the Recycle Bin.
Press CTRL to copy the selected item when you drag it.
Press CTRL + SHIFT to create a shortcut key for the selected item when you drag an item.
F2 renames the selected item.
CTRL + RIGHT ARROW moves the insertion point to the beginning of the next word.
CTRL + LEFT ARROW moves the insertion point to the beginning of the previous word.
CTRL + DOWN ARROW moves the insertion point to the beginning of the next paragraph.
CTRL + UP ARROW moves the insertion point to the beginning of the previous paragraph.
CTRL + SHIFT + any arrow keys to highlight a piece of text.
SHIFT + any arrow keys to select multiple items on the window or desktop, or select text in the document.
Ctrl + A selects all content.
F3 search for files or folders.
Alt + Enter To view the properties of the selected item.
Alt + F4 Close the current project or exit the current program.
ALT + Enter to display the properties of the selected object.
ALT + SPACEBAR to open the shortcut menu for the current window.
Ctrl + F4 Closes the current document in a program that allows multiple documents to be opened at the same time.
Alt + Tab Toggles between open items.
Alt + ESC loops in the order in which the items are opened.
F6 cycle through screen elements on a window or desktop.
F4 displays a list of the address columns in My Computer and Windows Explorer.
Shift + F10 Displays the shortcut menu for the selected item.
The ALT + SPACEBAR displays the system menu for the current window.
Ctrl + ESC Displays the Start menu.
ALT + The underlined letter in the menu name displays the corresponding menu.
Executes the command with an underlined letter in the command name that appears on the Open menu.
F10 activates the menu bar in the current program.
Right ARROW key to open the next menu on the right or to open a submenu.
The left ARROW key opens the next menu to the left or closes the submenu.
F5 refreshes the current window.
BackSpace View the previous layer of folders in My Computer or Windows Explorer.
ESC cancels the current task.

The NUM Lock key toggles the toggle key on and off for five seconds.

Windows Explorer keyboard shortcuts

END Displays the bottom of the current window.
The home page displays the top of the current window.
An asterisk (*) on the NUM LOCK + numeric keypad Displays all subfolders of the selected folder.
The plus sign (+) of the NUM LOCK + numeric keypad Displays the contents of the selected folder.
The minus sign (-) of the NUM LOCK + numeric keypad collapses the selected folder.
The left ARROW key collapses the item when the current selection is expanded, or selects its parent folder.
The right ARROW key expands the item when the current selection is collapsed, or the first subfolder is selected.
  
  
Attention
  
The password must be associated with the user account to ensure the security of those unauthorized access. If you do not associate a password with a user account, pressing + L does not prevent other users from accessing your account information.
If you open sticky keys in Accessibility options, some shortcut keys may not work.
