1) Updating Ducati
For hardware accelerated video playback and camera usage you have to use proper Ducati binary.

Ducati-m3.bin and pandaboard ES (omap4xxx) Android hard decoding related! My android4.1.2 cannot be hard decoded. It may be related to this! Take a note here! Looking at the source code, I feel like I have found the wrong direction again! But it is also very large! Hardware accelerator subsystem (Ducati )~! (Duati is TI's hardware acceleration subsystem for videos/images !)
The IPC between cortex A9 and Ducati is handled by syslink. the only interface that Ducati exposes to cortex A9 is OMX. (the communication between cortex A9 and duati processes is through syslink. The unique interface exposed by cortex A9 is OMX !)
Note: (Ducati/m3) is the co-processor of the Ti omap4xxx system chip. It provides audio and video hardware for accelerated decoding! That is, Ti omap4xxx video, image codecs, andAlgorithmHardware acceleration subsystem!
2) IVA-HD Overview
The Image video accelerator-high definition (IVA-HD) Sub system is composed of hardware accelerators which enable VideoEncoding and decoding up to 1080 p/I Resolution at 30 frames per second
(Or 60 fields per second ).
Host-slave architecture
It can be seen from the left host is dual core Coretex-A9 processor, mainly run hlos (high level OS, such as Linux, Android system) on the right of the dotted box is slave, is the legendary Ducati Subsystem
Multimedia Processing Software System: consists of two arm Cortex-M3 processors and two Tesla DSPs;
3) ISS Overview
The Imaging sub system (ISS) Deals with the processing of pixel data coming from an external image sensor or from memory. ISS as a component forms part of still image capture, camera viewfinder and video record use-cases.
Figure below shows the imaging subsystem constituents.
