1Installing DOS7.1 in Parallels Desktop
Prepare a DOS7.1 ISO installation image, some friends are img files, PD is not recognized.
When installing, choose a different dos, named as DOS7.1
After the first boot is installed, the installer requires a format disk, select Yes, and then close the virtual machine after formatting is complete. Set the boot order to CD/DVD at the top.
Start the virtual machine, reinstall it, and follow the prompts to install it. After the installation is complete, you can uninstall the CD/DVD.
2Configure shared files with Mac
The PD default does not support file sharing with DOS, unlike systems such as Windows, which automatically mount the hard disk after the virtual machine system starts. However, we can mount it by hand.
The steps are as follows:
- Find Dos7.1.pvm by finder
- Right-click menu to display package contents
- Find DOS7-0.HDD, right-click menu, open mode –>parallels Mounter.app
- To mount the HDD disk file to the file system, you can share the file
