Use the PowerDesigner tool to connect to the database and export data and generate PDM files.
1. Establish the connection
"Run as administrator" to open PowerDesigner, right-click "Workspace" → "New" → "Physical data Model" to generate empty physical data models.
Click "Database" → "Configure Connections" on the toolbar above to eject the "Configure Data Connections" window, such as the Red Box selection:
I'm using SQL Server, so I'm choosing the one that's for you, click Next, like this:
To create the data source complete, click Finish:
For example, fill in the name, description, and select the server, click Next, and then do the following:
2. Export PDM
"File" → "Reverse Engineer" → "Database ...", click "OK", such as:
Select the data source, and in the connect to a Data source window, select and connect to the data source configured above, for example, click Connect:
Click OK, and in the Database Reverse Engineering window, select the features you want to export, such as:
When you're done, click OK to export the desired PDM model.
PD connect the database and export the data and generate the PDM file
