Perfect BackTrack5 (BT5) hard disk installation tutorial

The hard disk of BackTrack5 (BT5) guides us through grub4dos, and grub and grub2 are still tested. Grub4dos can use boot in xp and win7. ini method to complete, win7 also know boot. ini. If you are using xp, directly modify boot. ini. If you are Windows 7, create a new boot under the root directory of the system disk. ini.

Xp adds the above line to the end of the file. win7 only writes this line in the blank file. Of course, Windows 7 can also use easyBCD to install grub4dos. Part 2 BackTrack5 (BT5) hard disk installation
 
 
 
In this section, let's talk about missing filesystem. cause of size error, missing filesystem. size is because install. sh file cannot find the filesystem required for installation. size, and the file is in/cdrom. When you run umount-l/cdrom, the directory becomes an empty directory, therefore, the system cannot find the file filesystem we copied. therefore, an error is returned. How can this problem be solved? There are two solutions: one is to copy all the files in the iso image to the/cdrom folder again. Of course, this is not feasible. At least 2 GB of memory for the cows is done by wood, maybe you can use 4G memory ~~~ We can pass this method. Now let's talk about the real method. Use loop to mount the iso file to the/cdrom directory. Specific Practices:
 
 
 
1. prepare your bt5 installation iso. It is best to put it in your system disk, that is, sda1. if you can't put it on another disk, you can also name it all in English, avoid unnecessary troubles. Open a terminal in the attachment of the program.
 
 
 
 
Run in Terminal

Sudo mkdir nenew
Sudo umount-l/cdrom
Sudo mount/dev/sda1/nenew
Ls/nenew | grep iso
 
 
When running this step, check whether your image file exists in the ECHO result. If you put it in the first partition, you can see your image name, you can continue step 2. If you do not place it in the system root directory, run the following command to increment the number of sda until the ls result has your image.
 
 
 
Sudo umount-l/nenew
Sudo mount/dev/sda2/nenew

Sudo modprobe loop
Sudo mount-o loop/nenew/BT5-GNOME-32.iso/cdrom
 
 
The BT5-GNOME-32.iso here is your BT5 image name.
 
 
 
Sudo umount-l/nenew
Ls/cdrom
 
 
At this time, the files in the cdrom directory will be displayed, and you can determine whether they are consistent with the iso files. 3. Run install on the desktop to install ubuntu. For the installation process, refer to the ubuntu installation process. After the installation is complete, the system prompts whether to restart. Select reboot to restart. When the prompt prompts "enter", Press enter. This place cannot be reached. Of course, this has no effect, you can simply turn off the power, because all the things to be turned off have been turned off. If you are a laptop, you can press the power-on button to shut down. After you restart the instance, you can access the system. Of course, you do not see the windows Startup item. After the startup is normal, the user name and root Password toor enter the system, startx enter the graphics, open the terminal, and sudo update-grub has a windows Startup item.
 
 
 
 
So far, the BackTrack5 (BT5) hard disk installation is perfect, and the missing filesystem. size error is also fixed.
