Permission handling for installing Oracle 11g OS in Win7 64bit

In general, we choose to install Oracle databases in traditional server operating systems such as Linux and AIX. Even in Windows, server versions such as 2008 and 2012 are used as the installation media. In Windows 7, it is generally not recommended to install the Oracle server version.

So for friends who need to study and test Oracle in Windows 7, virtual machine + Windows client is a good choice. In addition, Oracle has always had a reputation for uninstalling the deinstall program of the Windows version. Therefore, as a beginner's friend, we should carefully choose Win7 for installation.

Some time ago, I helped my friend complete a task, that is, installing Oracle 11 GB on Win7 64bit, and accumulating Some experience problems in the new environment. Record it and stay with the desired friends.

1. Question proposal

Oracle Net is a troublesome issue when installing Windows 7 Oracle. Some friends may have encountered that the current user is clearly in the ora_dba user group, and even has granted administrator permissions, or may still have configuration problems. Typically, when you start netca to create and modify Oracle Net parameters, the configuration tool reports an error. Generally, this problem is caused by the read and write permissions of the configuration directory $ ORACLE_HOME/admin/network, tnsname. ora, listener. ora, and sqlnet. ora.

We have such experience in operating on Windows 7: If you operate on a non-administrator user, no matter whether you execute the program or perform the delete operation, even some directories have an administrator operation confirmation process. Even if our current user is in the administrators user group, a displayed confirmation action is required.

For Oracle, this process is actually very problematic. For a long time, Oracle is designed to run in AIX and Linux systems. Text configuration, simple permission management, and environment variables are important factors in the system. For Windows architecture, there are more or less situations that are difficult to adapt. Oracle configuration tools such as NetCA and Deinstall cannot bring up the validation function at the OS level. In this way, an error is inevitable.

The problem I encountered was solved based on Oracle NET's three-file read/write. The current user is not a user of the administrator operating system, but has been granted administrator permissions.

When creating and starting listeners, the following error is reported:

Listener startup error. There is no problem in the configuration process, and all types of parameters also comply with the working principle. Oracle Net core configuration files are normal. It only fails when the listener is started.

This is not just the case. When you install the database later, an unknown error occurs.

This type of error is something I have never seen or experienced. After that, the installation process cannot continue. Only the operation is terminated.
