If you want to install the experience through a virtual machine, it is recommended to use the VirtualBox, follow the legacy boot mode to install; Use VMware on my Computer Workstation or UEFI boot will cause the installation to fail (even if my computer itself is booting with UEFI).

Description

1. Restart the machine, select "Installation Phoenix OS to harddisk" by selecting USB drive in startup option

2. Select the Setup Disk Setup program to detect the disk information and out. We select "Create/modify partitions" to create a new partition table; 3. When you create it, you are asked whether to use GPT partitioning. Here we use the Legacy boot mode, we select "No" 4. This will go to the Partition tool interface: The left and RIGHT arrow keys select "New", create a new partition; 5. Select "Primary" to create a new primary partition 6. Select the partition size, here we divide all the remaining size to this partition, So do not change directly press "Enter", 7. The Left and RIGHT arrow keys select "Bootable", the partition is set as a bootable partition, 8. The left and RIGHT arrow keys select "Write" to save our changes; 9. The partitioning tool asks whether to confirm the save, enter "Yes" confirmation, and 10. Left and RIGHT ARROW keys select "Quit", exit partition tool; 11. After exiting, you can see our new sda1 in the partition selection list, select it to install Phoenix OS; 12. Formatted Disk Phoenix OS support is installed on EXT/4, FAT32, and NTFS partitions, this tutorial selects the EXT4 partition and confirms formatting.
Difference:
A.EXT4 partition: No need to define the Phoenix system storage space size, you can use the remaining space of the disk as the Phoenix system storage space;
B.fat32 partition: Need to define the Phoenix system storage space size, but determined by the partition characteristics, the maximum number of individual files can not exceed 4GB;
C.NTFS Partition: A single file has no size limit, the remainder is the same as the FAT32 feature; 13. Whether to install the EFI boot entry: Select Skip 14. Whether to install Grub: select "Yes" 15. Installing 16. Create data.img: Use DATA.IMG to store data on FAT32 and NTFS partitions, where more than 4GB of space is normally created, and this step is skipped on the EXT4 partition; 17. After installation, restart the computer 18. Enter Phoenix Os Restart can see the Phoenix OS option in the Boot menu, select this option to enter Phoenix OS19. Installation Complete
