Photoshop adds drizzle effect to photo screen

Sunny own bright beautiful, faint rain also have some flavor. But the tragedy is that either we want to rain when the heavens do not give force, or rain when the photo is not to force (generally difficult to shine the feeling of rain), here, we decisively use PS try to test the effect.

In this article, we use Photoshop CS5 software to make the rain effect pictures study the effects of the "dynamic blur" filter and the "light effect" filter on photo expressiveness, comparing the effects of two "Rain" productions (for obvious purposes, we will produce "heavy rains" ...).

Photoshop's "dynamic blur" filter can blur the dots into a slender line, reflecting the dynamic shape of the rain. The lighting effect filter can gradually blur and dim the photo in a gradual way, which is ideal for building hazy effects.

Method one: Direct "painting Rain"

"Painting Rain" method is simple, and operable, the use of PS layer can continue to modify, and finally make a satisfactory picture.

1. Open the photo, select the background layer on the right layer selection, and click the right mouse button to copy the original layer (this is one of the good habits of PS to avoid damaging the original image).

2. Press Shift+ctrl+n to create a new blank layer "Layer 1". Click on the Brush tool, choose the right pen direction, start painting near the rain (also can use the line tool to draw a straight line), at this time need obvious and slender lines. Then copy the painted layer, and adjust the position, and finally form a neat rain. Merge all layers into Layer 1 (Figure 1).

3. Copy "Layer 1", adjust the transparency to 60%, 40% ... Until it completely disappears. Each layer of rain is placed in the void (Figure 2).

4. Adjust the Raindrop position, use the eraser to remove the rain drops with incorrect position.

5. Click on "Elliptical Tool", style select "Double Ring Glow", circle a similar corrugated oval, the "fill" to 0%, the two-ring glow will automatically form a white ripple. Reduce the opacity of all ripples to 60% (Figure 3).

Method Two: The rain is blurred into line

This method is mainly using the dynamic fuzzy tool PS, will be a number of irregular points drawn into the line, not only the length of the rain is different, the thickness is different, and even the color depth of the other. At the same time, the whole process of "human labor" is not much, more convenient.

1. Open the photo and copy the original layer. Click on the menu layers → new → layer, create a new blank "Layer 1", click the Paint Bucket tool and fill it with black.

2. Click on the menu "filter → noise → add noise", select "Average Distribution", the number is about 6%.

3. Click on "image → adjust → valve value" to reduce the number until the screen appears more white spots. To exaggerate, this example deliberately lowers the value to 11 (Figure 4).
