Photoshop Basics Tutorial: Making a simple red feather pen

The feather pen is made with the emphasis on the texture of the feather section. This tutorial simply makes a few simple down lines and does not need to be refined into a real feather. When making a selection with a selection tool, make a high light and darkened part.

1, a new 800 * 600 pixel document, background fill color: #E5C98E, with Dodge tool to the middle part of a little light, the effect of the following figure.

2, create a new layer, named "Feather Contour." Use the Pen tool to hook up the outline of the feather and turn it into a selection like Figure 2 and then fill it with black, as shown in Figure 3.

Figure 33, create a new layer, use the pen to tick out the selection shown in Figure 4, select the Gradient tool, and color settings like Figure 5, pull out the linear gradient shown in Figure 6.

4, create a new layer, with a pen to check out the middle darkened part of the selection, such as Figure 7, select the Gradient tool, color settings such as Figure 8, pull out the linear gradient shown in Figure 9.
