Total pixel:

Total pixel = width x height (calculated as a number of points)

File Size:

File size = Total pixel x unit pixel size (byte)

How is the unit pixel size calculated? The most commonly used RGB mode is 1 pixels equal to 3 Byte,cmyk mode 1 pixels equals 4 byte, whereas grayscale mode and dot matrix mode are 1 byte.

Print Size:

Print size = Total pixel/Set resolution (BPI)

Always know how big the picture is, right? So when you create a new file, you have to remember the rate of change you set. Relative to the Web page image, 72bpi is enough, and relative to print publishing, the resolution is more important, generally twice times the number of printed lines (LPI). With this formula, it's convenient to define the resolution before you create a new file. In addition, when the resolution is reduced from low to high, because the total number of pixels has not changed, so there will be poor image quality, so we recommend that in the initial definition of file attributes will be a higher resolution, change the size of the image from high to low, so that will not cause the problem of poor image quality.

Understand the basic information of the file, we will make some adjustments to the color, generally we use RGB mode to do the map, because it and we usually look at the color of the most similar way, do a map to more intuitive. However, in the print image we have to use CMYK mode to print, so the RGB mode to CMYK mode is an unavoidable process, although this is the case, we should do in RGB mode, processing and then converted to CMYK mode to print, Because the graphics in CMYK can not use a lot of Photoshop functions, this processing of the image caused a great limitation, in addition to the CMYK mode of the image is one-third larger than RGB. When we enter a image through the scanner, it is always the color distortion caused by the headache, but we can use a series of color adjustment techniques to make up. First, adjust the color levels of the image. Open the Adjust-levels Color Adjustment dialog box. Watch the pixel distribution of the image carefully. The histogram represents the entire image or the color level distribution within the selection, while the horizontal axis represents the color scale, varying from 0 to 255. The vertical axis represents the number of pixels of its color scale. It looks like a mountain, right? The high place of the mountain indicates that there are more pixels at this level, and conversely, fewer pixels.

When you think the image is too bright, too dazzling, you can change the brightness of the input leves in the value of the color level, or the light level slider to the left to pull a little, so that the image will be the brightness of the color of a little darker. Be assured of bold changes, because if not, hold down the ALT key, Cancel (cancel) button will become reset (reset) button, click, the image is changed back to the original state.

Using the Eyedropper tool, you can visually adjust the image to a level of color. The three eyedropper tools represent the dark, middle, and bright parts, click one and pick the color on the image to change the corresponding slider position in input. Three tools corresponding to three points, dark straw corresponding to black spots, the middle color straw corresponding to Neutral point, the light of the straw corresponding to white spots. By setting the black, white, and neutral points, you can define the dark, bright, and neutral colors of the image, and then by adjusting the level slider, we can extend the gamut. First of all, use the color stick on the image to select the colors to replace, and then in the range of fuzziness (allow) to adjust the allowable value, the larger the number, which means that the choice of color range is larger, conversely the smaller. To select or subtract color ranges, use the appropriate addition and selection bar, and finally in the transform (conversion) column, set the hue (hue), saturation (color) and lightness (brightness), you can replace the color in the range. If you need to contrast the picture, you can use the Auto contrast (auto contrast) feature, when Photoshop will automatically darken the darkest place of the image darker, the brightest place to deepen the white, so you can easily enhance the contrast of the image.

Image color Confusion, can be adjusted by color balance instruction (color Balance). Drag through the slider to convert the image to the corresponding color. The adjustment function does not do too much introduction, remember, check preserve luminosity (keep brightness) can maintain the middle hue of the image.
