1. Create a document
This tutorial is used by the singer MV. The video screenshots are a bit similar, but very different. Select the screenshot process, the need to expand the acquisition range to the entire video, because unless it is a special shooting, otherwise want to be in a video interval to find a big difference in the screenshot, or a bit difficult.
Step 1, the course is a dance video of a dancer in a red dress.

Step 2, Start Photoshop, click "File > Open" to load the video file. The Layers panel displays the video layer in the video group, and the main canvas displays the first frame.

Step 3, if the video panel is not open, click the "Window > Timeline" display. Drag the playback handle to the right to browse through all of the video frames, or click the Play button to play the entire video.

2. Select Static Screen
Phantom Dancer special effects production is relatively simple, select the static picture of the video, the synthesis of the final picture. Using Photoshop to select a static screen from the video can be precise to each frame and is easy to use.
Step 1, in the video panel, drag the control ruler on the timeline and select the static screen as shown below.

Step 2, select "SELECT > All" in the main menu bar to choose the entire static screen. Then select Layer > New layer > Create by Copy (CTRL+J) to copy the static screen and create the layer. Photoshop automatically places the new layer in the video group, using the Layers panel to drag the new layer off the video group and on top of it.

Step 3, the new layer on the timeline is automatically added after the video layer, you need to drag the new layer to the beginning of the place, and then set the layer opacity to 50%.
