Photoshop CS5 Magic Wand tool to accurately complete complex selection

Photoshop CS5 When using the Magic Wand tool, Photoshop determines whether the adjacent pixels are within the same color range, which can be defined in the Magic Wand option floating window, and all pixels within the allowable value range will be selected.

The Options floating window of the magic Wand tool is shown in the picture, where the tolerance range is between 0~255 and the default value is 32. The lower the allowable value you enter, the more closely the color of the pixel you select and the pixel you click. Conversely, the range of optional colors is larger. For all layer options and the special layers in Photoshop, when this option is selected, the Magic Wand tool used will work on all layers, not just the current layer, regardless of the layer you are currently working on.

Using the Magic Wand tool, you can select a specific area of an image by tapping the mouse. Easily select complex image elements, and then use the Adjust Edge command, you can eliminate the background color around the selection edge, automatically change the edge of the selection and improve the mask, so that the selected image more accurate, or even accurate to the fine parts of the hair.

(1) Execute file → Open command, open this book with CD-ROM Chapter-01 characters. jpg files, as shown in Figure 1-122.

(2) Select the Magic Wand tool in the Toolbox, set its options bar, click on the gray background, and select the background image, as shown in Figure 1-123.

(3) Press the key on the keyboard to invert the selection. and using the Rectangular marquee tool, select the selected part of the selection, as shown in Figure 1-124, 1-125.

(4) In the Magic Wand tool options Bar, click the Adjust Edge button to open the Adjust Edge dialog box, as shown in Figure 1-126.

(5) In the dialog box, click the Triangle button on the right side of the view, pop its drop-down list, and see the default white-bottom option as the selected state, as shown in Figure 1-127.

(6) Press the keys on the keyboard to cycle through the view so that you can see the selected images more clearly, as shown in Figures 1-128 and 1-129. When you are finished, select the default view.

(7) In the dialog box in the Edge detection bar set a radius of 70, the larger the value, the larger the edge spread area, the effect is shown in Figure 1-130.

(8) Select the Smart Radius check box in the edge detection bar, and the system will expand the area according to the image intelligence adjustment, as shown in Figure 1-131.

Resize the RADIUS tool and then click in the view where the background image is not removed, manually extend the area, as shown in Figure 1-135.

(11) According to the above method, manually expand the area of the hair gap, as shown in Figure 1-136.

(12) Next in the adjustment edge bar to set the parameters, so that the hair pull more natural, as shown in Figure 1-137.

(13) in the output bar. Click the output to the Triangle button on the right, and in the menu that pops up, select the new layer option with the layer mask, as shown in Figure 1-138.

(14) After the completion of the Click OK button, adjust the edge of the image. You can also see new layers with layer masks on the layer palette, as shown in Figures 1-139 and 1-140.
