Tutorial sharing:
Let's take a look at the final effect. Does the final effect seem complicated and artistic? In fact, the production method is not difficult.

Before doing this, we need to first think about what kind of effects we want to do, and we need to have a general concept in our mind. It is best to draw a sketch if there are conditions, this will be of great help to deepen and consolidate your ideas.
First of all, before I make this poster, what can I think of to represent the old man bat? The answer is obvious: bats, darkness, terror, and loneliness.
Therefore, in my mind, these elements are filtered and combined to finally build a script with bats, darkness, and loneliness as the main feeling.
When looking for inspiration to write a script, we often need some reference, as shown in the figure below:

After reading these references, we need to quickly grasp the feeling and gradually clarify the sketch in our mind. Afterwards, we need to think: What steps do we need to do this? What tools and materials are needed?
It took me a long time to find materials. I can only say that materials are actors, scripts are ideas in my mind, and materials are accurate, it depends entirely on whether your ideas and ideas are clear.
Based on my thoughts, I finally selected three main materials.

Body part:
Let's get started with making posters.
Open PS and create a new canvas. I create a vertical canvas, Black the background layer, and then use the flexible edge paint tool to give the canvas an approximate light source and draw layers together, name it as the background, and then select several different bats from the prepared bat materials to perform rotation and deformation to make them look independent, as shown in the following figure:

Merge the changed bats into a layer, copy some of them, and make corresponding changes to make them look irregular, as shown in the figure below:

As I said earlier, just copy some more and copy them into a Batman shape. Then, group the layers and name the Bat Group, as shown in the figure below:

Now it is a key part. Pull the prepared Batman material to PS, because we want to make the effect of the Batman image composed of the light and shadows of the Bat Group, therefore, a clear edge profile is not required. Set the material to two to three pixels, as shown in the following figure:

Put the blurred material on the copied Bat Group, create a layer mask, and erase the excess part of Batman, so that Batman's face remains within the Bat Group range, as shown in the right figure below:

Now we can change the mixed mode of Batman material to overlay to get the effect of the following picture on the left. At this time, some effects are achieved, but not obvious. Then we can change the mixed mode to the overlay Batman material and copy a layer, and create a cut mask, so that it will not exceed the original range, and then reduce the opacity a little to get the effect of the right image, this is much stronger than the previous comparison, but some details are lost.

Now, add a few changes to the effect, create a color level adjustment layer, and create a cut mask so that the adjustment layer can be adjusted only for the Batman material. The parameter is shown in the left figure below, the result is as follows:

Now we need to make some adjustments to Batman's face, because the light and shade in some places cannot be obtained through the quick adjustment layer. The bottom right and left sides of the picture are somewhat strange and need to be improved.
The method is to create a new layer and use a soft edge paint brush to wipe the area in the red circle, so that the dark area is hidden. The effect is shown in the right figure below:

Batman has finished adjusting. Now let's adjust the details of the Bat Group, create a black fill layer and a reverse adjustment layer for the Bat Group layer Group, and create a cut mask, make these layers adjust only the layer Group of the Bat Group, and the layer blending mode is superimposed.
Use a mask to erase the face part of the black filling layer, and only retain the deepening effect of the Bat Group edge. Erase the mask of the reverse adjustment layer. The final effect is shown in the right figure:

Continue to adjust the Bat Group, create a new color level adjustment layer and a color level saturation adjustment layer, and create a cut mask. Use the color level to reduce the overall pressure, because we are doing the background effect, then, the saturation level is minimized on the color saturation layer.
The color level parameter is shown in the left figure below, so that the layer Group of the Bat Group is adjusted. The effect is shown in the right figure below. So far, we have been adjusting the basic relationship between brightness and shade of the poster.

After adjusting the basic relationship between light and shade, we can add dynamic effects to the Bat Group. Copy the Bat Group to a layer, merge the Layer group, and add the filter-Blur-dynamic blur, one to two pixels, as shown in the left figure below.
Then add a mask for the dynamic blur layer and the Bat Group layer respectively. Because the focus of the line of sight is not blurred, the central part of the dynamic blur layer is erased and the Edge is retained.
Then, to make the dynamic blur more natural, we erase the Edge part of the layer Group of the bat group and only retain the center part of the perception. In this way, the visual center is clear, and the Edge is dynamic fuzzy, as shown in the right figure below:

Now we add some light effects to the poster, find a small light ball material, and directly use the color function in the color saturation in the adjustment menu to adjust the material.
Here, do not change the other two items. You only need to adjust the brightness to the highest level, and then copy the adjusted light ball material. The method is the same as when we copy the Bat Group, as shown in the left figure below.
Then put it on the poster. According to the light we set, the light on the left is stronger, so the light on the left of the poster is stronger. The final effect is shown in the right figure below.

Next, let's make some details about the main light source of the screen. Because the light source comes from the back of the bat, we come to the background layer Group. This time we use the large light ball material, adjust the layers with the color saturation and select the color options. The parameters are shown on the left.
Use a mask to erase some areas with too much light and copy the ball clip to some areas with insufficient light. The effect is shown in the right figure below.

Now we can add the details and atmosphere for the overall poster. Create a new color level adjustment layer on top of the layer we have prepared. The parameter is shown in the left figure below. The final effect is shown in the right figure below.

Find the materials collected before, which are gravel and smoke. Add them around the poster and expand around the visual center. Be sure not to block the visual center. Add several near-landscape bats to add dynamic blur effects.
The final effect is shown in the right figure. At this point, the posters are almost done, and the rest are all part of the overall adjustment process.

Now let's make the overall adjustment. First, add a cold tone for the poster, create a new color level adjustment layer, the color saturation adjustment layer, and the solid color filling layer.
Fill the solid color layer with a cool tone. The blending mode is superimposed, and the opacity is 25%. The other layer parameters are adjusted as follows on the left, and the result is displayed on the right.

When the cold tone is available, we need to warm the poster so that we can compare the cold and warm colors.
There are many methods. I chose to create a new layer, use a paint brush to overlay the color, and then use the color balance to control the overall balance. The final effect and parameters are shown in the following figure. At this point, the last step of sharpening and saturation adjustment are basically left. I believe everyone can find a proper method to complete this last step.

After the adjustment, add text to the poster.

The tools used this time are very basic tools, but the effects of different tools are different.
In fact, there are a lot of tool combinations that can achieve these effects. I chose my best combination. You should also have your best tool in practice, so it is not necessarily the same as in the tutorial.
All right, the above information is the detailed tutorial for designing a Batman movie poster for users of this software in photoshop, you can see that the production method is quite clear, then you can follow the tutorials provided by the mini-editor and try to make a movie poster for Batman.
