1th Step
To create a new black background 1400px * 782PX document, we will start by using the downloaded gravel texture to prepare the ground.
Open the texture in Photoshop and draw the selection:
Copy and paste the selection to our file and use the free transform to change the angle of the selection:
Use the soft eraser tool to lighten the edges of the texture:
Add the following two adjustment layers and create a clipping mask on the ground texture:
Threshold value
Curve
And here's the effect so far:
2nd Step
We'll add some gravel to support our text. We can go back to the gravel texture and select the entire image:
Copy and paste the entire selection into our document. Resize to fit the document and reduce its opacity to around 70%:
To dodge the edges with a soft rubber tool:
Apply the following two adjustment layers and set them to the new gravel layer's clipping mask:
Threshold value
Curve
Here is the effect so far:

Select text:
Move the selection to our gravel ground image and copy the selection:
Paste the selection onto the text, use the soft eraser to remove some parts of the texture, and don't let it overwrite all the text:
Load the flame texture image and redo the steps above to copy the flame's selection:
Paste the selection onto the text and change the layer blending mode to strong light:
We can copy the 3D layer and move it to the top of all the texture layers:
Change the blending mode of this layer to "overlay":
This is the effect so far:
4th step
We will add the surrounding flames to our documentation and use the Lasso tool (feather set to 40px) to select part of the flame Image:
Copy and paste the selection into our document, using the following USM sharpening to sharpen the flames slightly:
Set the flame's layer blending mode to color filter:
Attach the flame to our text and add more flame elements around the canvas, as shown in the picture:
5th step
We're almost done! To fine-tune the effect, I added a color balance adjustment layer on all layers:
Shadow:
Middle tune:
Highlights
Copy some additional flame elements from the flame material and paste them in the position shown below:
