Photoshop Drawing Realistic Figure illustration Tutorial

I am honored to have the opportunity to share with you the steps and experiences of a recently created piece of work. When it comes to realistic illustrations, everyone is familiar with it, and it should be said that most people now like realistic style. What is realism, in fact, only if it can be found in nature and the objects of the object, or what we are painting can find its roots in nature, no matter how we draw distortions and variants, are realistic. To put it bluntly, we can see "What is painted on the painting" This painting is realistic, the difference is the degree of realism. We often make it look like a standard for judging good paintings, which does represent the aesthetic appeal of the masses. In a long time, we are happy to pursue a realistic picture, keen on realism, and even super realistic techniques, the picture can be more realistic than the film. Some people, however, question the value of this painting and think that it is better to take pictures directly than to spend so much effort to draw. In fact, although now with the development of CG technology, people's appreciation of the aesthetic, painting and photography boundaries began to become blurred, but painting is still not the same as photography, its artistry and photography are still different. Therefore, we might as well try some realistic, even surreal style painting in practice, so as to test ourselves to see how far they can draw.

The creation, I chose portrait sketching, and positioning in the European and American Girls portrait. We can not ask a model to hold a pose for more than 10 or even more than 20 hours in front of the computer because of the conditions, so finding a clear picture to sketch is a low-cost option. Avril is a very characteristic of the European and American girls, the characteristics here refers to her facial features, very European fan son, Aquiline's nose and heavy make-up of the eyes can become the highlight of the work.

Brush selection: I prefer to use the software with the brush, not too much to define their own new brush, also not too much with a variety of brush to create, some because of laziness, but mainly too many brushes will make me dizzy. It's enough to find two or three kinds of brushes that suit your own. Here to recommend to you are mainly two PS with brush: one is "airbrush pen opaque stroke" (upper left); one is "Big Oil paint crayon" (bottom right), the difference is, a round head, a flat, a circle-like sawtooth, a smooth, specific use when you see everyone likes

1: Proofing. This time the proofing adopted a color block mode, rather than drawing the first line. The main purpose of this is to let yourself practice how to use color block to shape. Our world is three-dimensional, we see the line is actually the face of the transition, so we can follow this principle, with a color block, to show the intricate pieces of the surface, so as to shape our portrait

2: Rough Draft. This step is like grinding the basic structure of a character's face in the thick of a piece of dirt. Can not enter the details first, draw a big feeling, so this link of the characters are not yet like

3: Enter the slow finishing phase. Here we will use similar traditional painting to cover the way, a little bit of the object's dark part, the object's volume will gradually emerge. What you can use here is the PS layer attribute "multiply". This layer property can give the original picture to deepen the color, but will not cover the original painted lines, it is suitable for our cover dye link

4: In the shadow of the time to pay attention to the structure, because most of the shadow position, shape and size are closely related to the local structure, if the painting is not allowed, it is easy to appear awkward. Here we are mainly in the cheekbones and eyebrow bow place add shadow, because Avril is a Western girl, so eyebrow bow is usually more prominent than Asian girls, eye sockets are deeper, in addition, her thick eyeliner can also be drawn together
