Peony petals are more, but the method of making the petals are basically the same, the focus is to depict the high light of the petals, as long as the grasp of the production of a piece of petals, other petals can be done in the same way.

1, create a new 1000 * 800 pixel file, background filled with black. Create a new group, use a pen to tick the outline of the first petal, and then add a layer mask to the group, as shown below.

2, create a new layer in the group, select the Gradient tool, color settings, such as Figure 2, pull out the linear gradient shown in Figure 3 as the petal background.

3, create a new layer, set the foreground color to pale pink: #FBEAEE (the color of the high light in the back of the petals is in this colour), use the pen to check out the selection shown in the following figure, feather 5 pixels and then fill the foreground color, and then change the layer opacity to: 20%, the effect is as follows.

4, create a new layer, with the transparency angle of the soft side of the brush to the right part of the light painted.

5. Create a new layer, use the pen to check out the path shown in Figure 6, then feather 3 pixels after the selection, then fill the foreground color, the effect is as Figure 7.
