To the users of Photoshop software for detailed analysis to share the color of the basic knowledge and color theory.
Analytical sharing:
Basic knowledge of color
Open your Photoshop, create a new document, there are two very important options, one is the color mode (bitmap/grayscale/rgb color/cmyk color), one is the number of digits (1-bit/8-bit/16-bit/32-bit).

What is a color mode?
Create a new document and choose the color mode: Bitmap and 1-bit (why are other bits not selectable?).

Select Window-Color (or press F6 directly) to bring up the color panel:

Pull the K value (the gray value in K) to below 50% and above, or choose the color of different brightness (also only k-value changes, dark K-value to become larger, lighter k value), select a rectangular box (only select the path and pixel mode) to draw, see what effect? Only white and black can be painted. Why is that?
What is a bit?
Remember when the teacher said in middle school: "Bit" is the smallest unit in computer memory. One of the bits equals binary (0 and 1), and the number of 0 and 1 is the number of digits. 1 pixels in 1-bit notation, 2 power record. Black and white, each pixel has only 1-bit color (21). That's why we've created a new color pattern of "bitmap" and "1-bit", which can only be used in black and white. There is also the concept of a bitmap.
Grayscale mode
Open PS, ditto, new document, select "Grayscale" and "bit", and RGB can choose the same range, you can choose 8-bit/16-bit/32-bit.
Open the Color panel, the RGB to the same value to see if RGB is equal to the time, to become gray? In fact, 256 colors, also known as 256 gray level.

All RGB to 255, is full white (equal to grayscale mode 0%), all set to 0, is all Black (equal to grayscale mode 100%). Click on the upper right corner down the arrow, choose Grayscale mode to compare this is not the case.
So what is the relationship between RGB and grayscale? Here we need to talk about two concepts: brightness and channel.
Open a random image, "window"-"channel", open the channel panel, respectively, choose Red, Green, blue try:

▲rgb mode

▲ Red Channel

▲ Green Channel

▲ Blue Channel
In addition to the ash, there are brighter white, and darker black, they collectively referred to as the brightness of the change.
The color in each channel is determined by the pixel brightness, which controls the brightness of the single channel in fact controlling the color. This also involves the brightness merging problem, after adjusting the picture color, we detailed.
RGB and Grayscale calculation relationship: RGB approximate color value = 256 x (1-gray degree%) (note turn off color management mode, Photoshop edit-color settings-monitor colors.) Color management is mainly used in the field of printing. )
You can try to turn off a single channel (such as Red), leaving a combination of green and blue, to see what color the picture is? Is it cyan? Notice the next color theory, and you'll see.
RGB color
The display of the computer screen is the color of three primary colors (red, green, blue), each of the colors of each pixel with three primary colors to display.
In RGB mode, a single pixel of each color is stored with 8 bits, 2 of the 8 power is equal to 256, three color 256x256x256=16777216, referred to as 16 million color (million or True color), also known as 24 bit color (8 bit x 3 color channel), 16 bit is high color, if it is 32 digits, It becomes HDR (High dynamic range imaging).
Obviously, the more bits, the richer the color, the larger the corresponding storage space.
CMYK color
CMYK mode used in the field of printing, with hundred points, when CMYK is equal to 0% when the display of white, whereas 100% is black.
Lab Colors
Why is this lab color only 8-bit and 16-bit? This is about the gamut. Lab color mode is mainly based on the normal view of the human eye color range, so there will not be a richer 32-bit.
Color theory
The color disc can be remembered with a poem: Red, orange, yellow, green, green, blue, purple

We have learned in the previous section that all the colors of the display are made of RGB with three primary colors, and how are the other colors calculated?
In the color ring, the adjacent primary colors are mixed into two-second color (approximate color), such as:
Purple = red + blue cyan = blue + Green orange = red + Yellow
Use two times color mixture to form three times color (ternary color), such as
Blue Purple Blue orange Yellow
The opposing two colors form a reversed color (complementary color), and cool tones and warm tones are relative.
Red values are 255, 0, 0, green color values are 0, 255, 0, blue color value is 0, 0, 255, if you want yellow, it means no blue, pure yellow color value is 255, 255, 0. Similarly, purple (255, 0, 255) is a mixture of red and blue, no green.
Color terminology
When we look at a color with the naked eye:
Hue (Hue) is a color, such as red, yellow, green;
Saturation (saturation, chroma/color) refers to the intensity of the color;
Lightness (brightness) is obviously the degree of darkness, add black or white and form;
Tones can be understood as the overall color of the feelings of the people, such as red, partial blue;
Warm tones, red, orange, yellow and their approximate or combination, give a strong, warm, passionate feeling;
Cold tones, green, blue, violet its approximate or combination, give people cold, calm, soothing feeling;
Neutral color, black and gray, can be used as medium and warm colors and cool colors;
Chromatographic theory
Monochrome (monochromatic)
A single color can be changed in saturation and lightness, as well as a sense of harmony and comfort.

Approximate color (analogous)
Color wheel in the adjacent or similar colors, the visual will be very harmonious.

Complementary color (complementary)
Two opposite monochrome, 180° antagonistic relationship, the color difference is larger, form complementary. It is usually possible to use complementary colors when you want to highlight a particular color.

Ternary color (Triad)
3 colors, such as distance distribution in the 120°, forming a certain contrast, but no complementary color strong.

Color-induced mood changes
Color not only can cause the mood change, often also can express own culture. In addition, in actual use, will also be based on the scene to express different combinations of information, in short, color, you boldly to use.

How to make color match?
Color is not science, but art. That is to say, the choice of color is to be perceived rather than calculated. Here are some tips to help you be more professional when you're paired with color.
Multi-color collocation, adjust saturation or clear degree, handle softer point.

Bright color with neutral color (black, gray, white)
