This article describes how to use Photoshop Magic Wand and quick Mask mode to pull a picture, a beautiful ballet picture of the ballet girl in a complete dig out. After the drawing we can do a lot of creative design, such as changing the background, or make black-and-white silhouette and so on.
This article mainly uses magic wand tools, Photoshop mask mode, brush tools, and some of the features in the Select menu.
Let's first open a picture of a ballet desktop in Photoshop. Copy the background layer.
(Note: This figure is selected from the Gaynor Minden Ballet supplies website of the computer desktop picture, the dancer is Kristi)
The background color of this picture is more uniform and almost white. So we can simply choose the Magic wand tool.
The tolerance data for the magic wand tool determines the latitude of the range we choose. The larger the number, the greater the latitude, and the more range you choose.
For example, we choose a tolerance of 2, click on the background, we choose a smaller range.
Below we choose the tolerance of 16, click on the background, the selected range has changed.
Below we choose a tolerance of 64, click on the background, the selection of a larger range, but some of the lighter parts of the skin is also selected.
We choose a more moderate tolerance 8, click on the background, you can see the selection is more appropriate. But the white background of some closed images has not been selected.
Click on the Menu "select-Select similar". This action adds the part of the entire screen that matches the criteria you just selected to the selection.
The background part of the girl's forehead and arm is now being added to the constituency.
If we try to press the Del button at this time, we can delete the background that we just selected. Below the black background, you can clearly see the bottom of the screen there are many unwanted original background has not been selected to clear.
Don't worry, we'll switch to Photoshop's Mask mode below.
Now we'll fix this imperfect constituency in the PS Quick mask mode.
Duplicate an original original background layer. Hold down the CTRL key with the left mouse button click just did not perfect pull the picture of the layer thumbnail, get this layer in the "non-transparent" constituency. Note: We used the magic wand to select the background part that needs to be removed, and now we are choosing the part of the dancer that needs to be retained.
At the bottom of the toolbox, click the button shown in the red box below and PS prompts "edit in Quick mask mode." You can also press the shortcut key "Q" in the English input state. Now we've switched to PS's quick mask mode.
The pink part of the image below is the background part that we just deleted, and now it is a non selection part. (Note: Because the default setting for PS is to use translucent red as the mask color, because the background of this image is white, it appears pink.) )
We can clearly see that there are still a lot of imperfect parts of the constituency, we need to remove all the background parts to fill in the pink, the dancers are part of the original.
Zoom in, you can see that some parts of the leg are covered by the background constituency. Now we set the foreground color to white, select the appropriate size of the brush, the leg lines with white fill.
