Photoshop CS Easy to merge panoramic view

Photoshop CS Image Merging is Adobe's new feature for Photoshop to cater to the rapid development of the digital age, and you can use this new tool to easily do picture collage, especially to make panoramic images.

With Photoshop CS Open, we open the Edit dialog box from the menu file/Auto/image merge (Figure 1).

Here's how to use the image merge feature as an example of making a panorama.

In advance, please be prepared for digital photos to be spliced (because the camera's size is limited, so to get a 360-degree view of the picture, you must use the camera to the front, back, left and right each direction of the scenery are taken into photos), we put these photos in a folder. With the Image Merge dialog box open (Figure 2), Photoshop CS will prompt us to import the photos you want to work with, and you can import all of the pictures from the development folder into the Edit dialog box, and you can also select individual pictures to import.

When you are ready to make a Panorama folder, in the source file, select "folder" to open the photo you prepared to synthesize (Figure 3).

When you click OK, all the pictures in the 360 degree Panorama folder appear in the blank dialog box in the source file (Figure 4). This can be selected for a separate picture, and unwanted pictures can be removed using the Remove feature.

The source file picture selected after the "OK", you can check the "try to automatically arrange the source image" option and then "OK", at this time the Photoshop CS will automatically perform a series of operations, the execution of the action quickly, but we can clearly see the steps of automatic operation. First of all, a picture of the import into Photoshop, and then import the pictures into the Image Synthesis dialog box, because the "try to automatically arrange the source image", Photoshop automatically arranged according to the image of the picture panorama, if you do not choose the automatic arrangement function, Then we need to edit the pictures we have arranged in the Image Synthesis Action dialog box (Figure 5).

The interface of the Image Merge dialog box is roughly divided into the tool area, the source image area, the picture editing area, and the parameter Settings area, similar to the interface of the other Photoshop functions, such as the Liquefaction Filter Handling dialog box. You can see thumbnails in the Navigator window of the parameter setup area by using the mouse to select the Arrow tool in the tool area, and then drag the source image area in the picture to the photo editing area respectively (Figure 6).

At the bottom of the Navigator window, there is a lever that sets the view display size when the picture is edited by adjusting the left and right side of the lever, because the width of the panorama is very long, the view is in normal size the general one edit window is not able to display the whole picture completely. In this way, the window can be manipulated when the picture is limited, so it is necessary to reduce the display scale and then to operate.

When you arrange a picture by selecting normal in the settings option in the parameter Settings area, the picture is displayed in a normal state, and when you arrange the picture, the picture appears in an irregular distorted shape (Figure 7).

What is the role of perspective? We'll explain this by using two photo-synthesis processes, it is to take a picture of a part of the main picture and this picture coincide with the part of the display state will be based on the image of the composite part of the scene as the main distortion display, so that they overlap the part of the display effect is like a scene. As shown in Fig. 8, two pictures of the synthetic part of the mountains to the left the distortion of this picture shows the same mountain range as the right chart, which is also the most important effect of making panorama (the picture is not visible between the lines after the connection).

Choosing "Normal" or "perspective" has a great effect on the resulting panorama, and what we see in the photo editing area is exactly the same as the final panoramic picture effect, so the settings here must be discreet. You can look at the resulting panorama effect by using the preview feature in Advanced options in compositing settings before you decide to generate a panorama effect. (Figure 9)

Several tool options in the tool area common options as soon as you see it, you don't have to say much. The "Rotate tool" and "Set vanishing Point tool" should be described in particular (Figure 10).

You can use the Rotate tool to rotate the specified picture in the editing area, and the Set vanishing Point tool must be in perspective. Because after the "perspective" a certain picture in order to accommodate the previous picture will distort (as described above), after you use the Set Vanishing Point tool, you can change the order of the two pictures ' primary and secondary, distort the picture with the other picture, and look at the effect before and after using the image 11.

Normally make panorama, we are according to the object of the scene in the left and right order, and then generate panoramic map. Before you can make a synthesis, the effect you need to edit a picture based on Photoshop is to set whether to panorama and become a layer, or to separate the pictures into a layer that is just arranged into a panoramic view. If you want to fit into a layer, select "Adsorption layer", and to the separate layer to be placed separately, select "Keep Layer" (Figure 12).
