Tips in Photoshop, the most original approach is to use the Magic Wand Tool magic Wand in the background of the adjacent color selection to delete, and then use the Eraser Tool Eraser tool to carefully erase the rest of the background of the remaining broken branches. Alternatively, use the Lasso lasso tool to outline the main part of the image, then reverse the selection and delete the background.
We summarize the following methods, some of the traditional tools to play, some Photoshop new tools to use, there are a variety of image processing skills of the synthesis. And our goal is to try to get the most effective results with the most concise operation.
Method One: Magnetic lasso tool |
The magnetic Lasso (magnetic lasso) tool works very well when you need to deal with a sharp contrast in the color of the graphics and background. The more obvious the contrast, the more accurate the magnetic lasso tool is. |
Method Two: Path tool |
Using the path to pull the image is more suitable for the contour is more complex, the background is also more complex images.
|
Method Three: Magic Eraser Tool |
The Magic Eraser (Magic Eraser) tool focuses on the features of Eraser and magic wand tools. When you select the Magic Eraser tool, click the mouse in the image and the area of the image that is similar to this color will be erased. Especially for the background of a single image, with Magic Eraser to pull like is quite a good choice. |
Method Four: Background rubber tools |
When you have a significant color difference in the foreground of your image and the background you need to erase, consider using the background eraser (Background Eraser Tool). |
Method Five: Photoshop Special tools for extract |
Extract is a new feature that is designed for "picking up" in Photoshop 5.5, which is located in the Image menu. You can select the layer you want to work on in the Layer panel and click the Image > Extract menu, and a dialog box titled "Extract" pops up. |
Method Six: Skillfully using the Channel |
Using Alpha channels to isolate objects in an image is a good way to deal with people photos. People tend to have hair, to deal with such a small hair silk objects, magic wand is not necessarily competent, and the use of the Path tool is very unrealistic. The use of Background Eraser tools can damage the "hair", while Magic Eraser to erase the small parts between the hair can make people feel powerless. |
The above is the use of Photoshop's own drawing skills, in fact, there are some tools such as Mask Pro filter, as well as Corel Knockout, and so on, can help us in different specific situations to complete the pull map work.
Method Seven: Mask Pro filter Cutout |
The Mask Pro filter has two important concepts: preserve color and discard color. The reserved color is the color that is retained in the screen, and the discard color indicates the color to be plucked. Determine the two types of colors after the use of magic tools to wipe away the color, pull the image is successful. |
Method VIII: COREL Knockout |
Using a powerful masking tool Corel knockout, you can "pull" the foreground objects of the Fringe (feathers, fur, shadows, hair, smoke, transparency, etc.) from the background and apply them to another particular background image. |
Method One: Magnetic lasso tool
The magnetic Lasso (magnetic lasso) tool works very well when you need to deal with a sharp contrast in the color of the graphics and background. The more obvious the contrast, the more accurate the magnetic lasso tool is.
If you'd like to spend a few minutes on the magnetic lasso tool, please open the example bottles.tif provided by Photoshop and select the magnetic Lasso (magnetic lasso) tool in the Toolbox. Press the mouse over the CAP position in the image, and after that there will be a line following your mouse-I think the line should be called a lasso. Carefully move the mouse along the outline of the glass bottle, the resulting lasso will automatically attach to the image of the glass bottle around, and every distance there will be a square point of location to produce-such as the contour of the image, the lasso is usually very accurate attachment. When you find that the lasso has strayed from the outline of the glass bottle, you can try to pull it back and click the left mouse button to manually create a fixed floating lasso on the anchor point. Finally, when the lasso goes around the glass for a week and returns to the original identified anchor point, the mouse pointer changes slightly in the image-a tiny circle appears near the mouse pointer. This is the best time to press the left mouse button to close the lasso. Typically, a selection is made, which happens to select the glass in the image.
Double-click the icon in the Toolbox and we'll see the Lasso tool setup options in the Magnetic Lasso options panel. Navigating them flexibly can help you to be more precise in completing the cutout.
Feather: This entry is used to set the feather level of the edge;
ianti-aliased: Select it to effectively remove jagged edges;
Lasso Width: Used to set the scope of the detection, Photoshop will be the point where the mouse pointer is the standard, in the range of settings to find the most contrast edge. It can take the integer value between the 1-40 Pixels (Pixel point);
Frequency: The frequency of the location point creation, set range between 0-100, the higher the number, the more key points of the mark;
Edge Contrast: Lasso tool to find the edge of the sensitivity, set the value of the larger, then the edge and the surrounding environment of the contrast requirements higher;
It is said that if you use the Digital graphics board, you can choose whether to use the Stylus:pressure item. If the item is selected, the greater the pressure on the digital graphics board, the smaller the search range, that is, the greater the pressure on the digital graphics panel, the smaller the value of the Lasso Width. Unfortunately I have not used this input device personally, so I can't tell you my experience.
Method Two: Using the Path tool
Using the path to pull the image is more suitable for the contour is more complex, the background is also more complex images.
A path is a line or graphic made up of a Bezier curve, and a Bezier curve is defined by a combination of three points, one of which is on the curve, and the other two are on the control handle, and dragging the three points can change the curvature and direction.
here are a few concepts related to path (path) :
Corner point: Created by the Pen tool, is the intersection of two line segments in a path;
Smooth point: Drag a corner point to convert the corner point to a smooth point with a handle. It connects a line segment with another segment in an arc mode;
Inflection point: After drawing a curved segment, press the ALT key to drag the smooth point just established, convert the smooth point to a corner with two separate handles, and then drag at a different position to create a curve opposite the previous curve, where the points between the two curved segments are called inflexion;
Straight segment: Use the Pen tool to click Two different locations in the image to create a straight segment between two points. If you hold down the SHIFT key and then create a point, the newly created segment is formed at a 45-degree angle from the previous line segment.
Curve segment: Drag two corner points to form two smooth points, the segment between smooth points is a curved segment.
Path (path) in Phtoshop can be created with the pen (pen) tool. Holding down the Pen tool in the toolbox, you can see a set of tools that are related to path (path).
Pen Tool Pens Tool--this tool is often used to draw a straight line, and the left mouse button in the image creates an anchor point, which is automatically connected to the last anchor point in a straight line. Double-click the Pen tool to bring up the pen options panel, which has only rubber Band to choose from. If the item is selected, a line that moves with the mouse and updates in time will appear on the mouse pointer, just to give you a preview.
Hold down the Shift key to create a key point, forcing the path to be drawn at a 45-degree or 45-degree angle; When the pen tool moves to a key point, the Pen tool is temporarily converted to a corner tool, and the pen tool is temporarily converted to an arrow tool by holding down the CTRL key.
Magnetic pen Tool Magnetic pen Tool
It works like a magnetic lasso tool, and the difference is that it creates a path instead of selecting a region. In some ways, the magnetic pen tool is more powerful than a magnetic lasso tool. Because of the use of the magnetic lasso tool, once the selection operation has been completed, it can not be modified, so some selection areas may be more biased. And the magnetic pen tool is different, once the path is set, it will form a path in the path Control Panel, and you can use other path tools to modify it, such as using the angular tool to adjust the curvature of the path so that it is more precise to "attach" to some areas with a high radian.
Holding down the ALT key, the Magnetic pen tool is temporarily replaced with the pen tool, and holding down the CTRL key will cut the magnetic pen tool for the Arrow tool temporarily; hold down the ALT key and move the mouse to a key point, the magnetic pen tool will temporarily switch to the corner tool.
Freeform Pen Tool any pen tool
Create a path in the image in a freeform way, and when you create the first key point in the image, you can drag any mouse to create a very irregular path, and when you release the mouse, the path creation process is complete. In the Freeform Pen options panel, there is a Curve fit option that sets the maximum error between the Bezier curve and the path that is generated along the mouse drag trajectory, and the smaller the set value, the higher the path precision generated by the Pixel (Pixel point).
Holding down the CTRL key will cut the magnetic pen tool for the Arrow tool temporarily, while holding down the ALT key and moving the mouse to a key point, any pen tool will temporarily switch to the corner tool.
Add Anchor Point Tool tool
Used to insert a key point on an existing path and produce two adjustment handles that can be used to adjust the path segment.
Delete Anchor point Tool Remove Points tool
In contrast to the Add Anchor Point Tool Tool, the tool is used to delete points that already exist on the path.
Direct Selection Tool Arrow Tool
You can drag after the key point to modify the shape of the path. Like the previous tools, hold down SHIFT and use this tool to force key points to move at a 45-degree angle. Also, holding down the Shift key, you can select several key points at the same time, and then drag to modify the selected key points at the same time, hold down the ALT key to drag, the existing path will be copied first, and then put a copy of the path to the intended location.
Corner tool
Click or drag a corner point to convert it to a inflexion or smooth point, and the mediation handle on the drag point can change the radian of the segment.
In this example, please make full use of your understanding of pen (pen) tools and path (paths), use the path to map out the outline of the leaves that need to be "pulled out" in the image, fully modify the position of each node and the shape of the path, click Window > Show path to open the path panel. Click the loads path as a selection at the bottom of the panel to convert the path to a selection-it should just select the leaf portion of the image. When you press Ctrl + Shift + I to reverse the selection, press the Delete key to remove the background of the image.
Method Three: Use Magic eraser
The Magic Eraser (Magic Eraser) tool focuses on the features of Eraser and magic wand tools. When you select the Magic Eraser tool, click the mouse in the image and the area of the image that is similar to this color will be erased. Like Photoshop provides an example of CMYK balloons.tif this background is a single image, with Magic Eraser is a pretty good choice.
In the toolbar, the Magic Eraser (Magic Eraser Tool) is placed in the same group as the Rubber tool (Eraser Tool), the background eraser (Background Eraser). Double-hit icons can select the Magic Eraser (Magic Eraser) and display its settings options (in the Magic Eraser options panel).
The tolerance (tolerance) parameter in the Options panel is very important, as is the tolerance (tolerance) parameter of the Magic Wand tool, which controls the color range, the larger the tolerance, the wider the color range of the erasure, and the lower the precision of the cutout; The smaller the parameters, the Magic eraser to the color similarity of the requirements of the higher, the scope of the erasure is narrower, the precision of the image of course higher.
The Opacity (opacity) parameter determines the strength of the magic Eraser, and when the value of this parameter is 100, the erased part becomes completely transparent, while the smaller Opacity parameter can get a translucent background.
Selecting Use the all Layers option means that the Magic Eraser will be used for all visible layers, otherwise, only a portion of the currently active layer is erased. This parameter is not selected in the default state.
Anti-alias items in the control Panel can effectively remove jagged edges.
When contiguous is selected, the Magic Eraser only erases the area adjacent to the location where you click the mouse, and when you cancel this option, all areas of the color range in the image will be erased.

Method Four: Background eraser tool
When you have a significant color difference in your image foreground and the background you need to erase, consider using the background eraser (Background Eraser Tool).
In the Layer panel, select the layer you want to work with as the current active layer. Double-click the icon in the toolbar to select the background eraser (Background Eraser Tool) and have its setup options displayed in the Background Eraser options panel. We select Find Edges in the Drop-down list in the upper-left corner of the Settings window, and Photoshop automatically recognizes the colors in the image so that we can easily select the safflower from the green leaves.
The function of tolerance (tolerance) in the panel is very similar to the tolerance parameters of the magic wand tool.
The sampling (sampling) parameter is a typical Drop-down list, and you have continuous, Once, and Background Swatch three values to choose from:
Once means that only erase areas with the same color as when the left mouse button is pressed. If you have a very visible object in your background, use a background eraser that uses Once as the sampling parameter to erase it easily;
Background Swatch means erasing only areas of the color that are similar to the current background color;
Unlike Once and Background Swatch, continuous is probably where the mouse is dragged and wiped. It is often used to erase areas of similar color in the background.
When you select Protect foreground color, the foreground color is protected and the eraser does not erase pixels that are the same color as the current foreground colors.
When you have finished setting the above parameters, you can select the appropriate size brush in the brushes panel, and then drag the mouse to erase the background in the image. This time your mouse will become a circular pattern with a cross, and its size is related to the size of the brush you choose.
Press Shift + E to quickly switch between the eraser (Eraser Tool), the Magic Eraser (Magic Eraser Tool), the background eraser (Background Eraser, Tool).
Method Five: New features of Photoshop 5.5 extract
Extract is a new feature of Photoshop 5.5 designed to "pull the image", which is located in the Image menu. You can select the layers you want to work with in the Layer panel (for security reasons, it is recommended that you make a copy of the layer), and then click the Image > Extract menu, and a dialog box titled "Extract" pops up.
There is a very large preview area on the left side of the Extract window where you specify the edges of the cutout and the area you want to keep. If necessary, you can enlarge the preview of the image to make it "fine machining".
In the upper left of the Extract window, there is a small set of tool icons. The first tool is called the "Edge Highlighter Tool", select it, and then you can trace the edge of the "dig". You can use the Brush size in the Tool Options bar on the right side of the window to determine the size of the brush to use when you stroke, and the hightlight and fill two parameters determine what color to use to represent the preview window's stroke boundary and populated area.
Carefully sketch the edges of the objects that need to be "pulled out" in the image, and ensure that the painted colors cover both the foreground and background of the image that need to be processed. For areas where the foreground and background boundaries of hair are not obvious, you should stroke the position where the foreground blends into the background. You can use a smaller brush for a distinct part of the foreground and background boundaries, and use a thicker brush in the blurry part of the foreground and background lines--please refer to the example above.
If the image needs to be pulled in the middle of the image, you must draw the entire edge of it, and if, like the example above, the object is on one side of the image, there is no need to trace a closed area.
The third position on the toolbar is the eraser Eraser Tool -If you are not satisfied with the boundary depicted in the previous step, you can use the tool to erase it and then repeat it.
The Zoom Tool in the penultimate position can be used to magnify the image in the preview area, hold down the ALT key, and then use Zoom Tool to shrink the image displayed in the preview area. The Hand Tool, the penultimate position, is often used to translate the image displayed in the preview area.
Once you have defined the boundary of the Tool, use the second position of the toolbar fill to populate the part of the image that you want to keep. Then you can press the Preview button to get a preview.
Select Original or extracted in the View drop-down list in the Preview bar, and you can see the original image or "pull" effect in the preview window.
In the show Drop-down list, you can set what color to use for the transparent background of the preview. Choose Other ... The item will be followed by a selection of the Color dialog box that pops up and you can customize the background color here. When you select Mask, the preview window uses white to indicate the reserved part, while the black represents the background part that will be erased. If you prefer a transparent background, choose its default value of None.
The show highlight and shows fill parameters determine whether the painted bounds and the color of the fill are displayed in the preview area.
If you find that the painted boundary does not "pull" the object out of the background well, it is necessary to modify the boundary again. You can erase the original bounds using the Eraser Tool in the third position of the toolbar, and then use Enge hightlight Tool to make the strokes again. Again, you will need to reuse the fill Tool tool to repopulate the part of the image that you want to keep.
If you find that the edges of the processed image are jagged or fragmented, you should adjust the Smooth value and click the Preview button. Repeat this step until you see a satisfactory effect in the preview area. Then you can safely press the OK button to close the Extract window, "Pull the image" completed.
There may be individual details in the image that need to be adjusted, and you can use the History brush tool to restore the portion of the Extract that has been wiped out more. For backgrounds that are not erased, consider using the Eraser Eraser tool or the Background Eraser background eraser tool. Note: It is best to press Ctrl + "+" to enlarge the image and then carefully try it.
Method Six: Magical Alpha Channel
Using Alpha channels to isolate objects in an image is a good way to deal with people photos. People tend to have hair, to deal with such a small hair silk objects, magic wand is not necessarily competent, and the use of the Path tool is very unrealistic. The use of Background Eraser tools can damage the "hair", while Magic Eraser to erase the small parts between the hair can make people feel powerless.

Before processing |
Channel Alpha 1 |
After processing |
Like the example here, the best way to solve this problem is:
Press CTRL + A or click the Select > select All menu to select all images, press CTRL + C or click menu Edit > Copy to copy the entire contents of the image to the Clipboard.
Use command Window > show Channel to display the Cahnnel (channel) panel, create a new channel whose default name will normally be Alpha 1, then press Ctrl + V or use the Edit > Paste command to copy us to the clipboard beforehand is pasted into the Alpha 1 channel. Here you will see a black-and-white version of the photo.
If you know that the channel and the constituency can transform each other, then you must know what to do next. The black portion of the channel corresponds to the part of the selection that is not selected, whereas the white area is eventually converted to a selection.
Use a black brush to outline the parts of your face, your fingers, and the background that are not very obvious (note that this process and the following steps are in Channel Alpha 1). Use the Image > Adjust > Brightness/contrast command to adjust the contrast (contrast) so that the black hair is fully visible from the background.
Finally, use the appropriate size brush to paint the part of the image that needs to be preserved in black, and the background that needs to be deleted should be painted white.
Use the Select > Load Selection command to convert Channel Alpha 1 to a selection-you can also press the Ctrl key and click the Alpha 1 channel thumbnail in the Channel panel. This time the selected part happens to be the background of the image, press the DELETE key to delete it.
