Photoshop layers make a projection word effect

In Photoshop, layer usage is the most basic and important editing method, so it is unavoidable to use layers in the design and fabrication of various graphics. Layers are one of the most characteristic tools in Photoshop, which can be divided into normal layers, adjustable layers, fill layers, shape layers, and text layers in 5 categories.

Next small series to tell you how to use the layer effect to create a simple special effects word.

(1) First, the editor can open a picture as a background (Figure 1).

(2) using the horizontal text Mask tool in the Toolbox, enter the word "zol" in the layer, and then click any of the marquee tools in the toolbox, and you'll see a text-shaped selection in the picture. (Figure 2)

(3) Next you can copy the graphic from the selection to a new layer by executing the "layer"-"new"-"Layer by copy" command. You can set the layer's name to "type layer".

(4) Finally, we do the "layer"-"layer style"-"projection" command, pops up the Layer Style dialog box, where the projection style parameter settings are shown (Figure 3), click the OK button, and the final finish (Figure 4) shows.

(5) In addition to the use of layer effects to create a "projection" layer style of special effects word, we can also use the same method to create other layer style effects word. The specific layer style and its effect also: "Inner Shadow", "Outer glow", "Inside Glow", "Bevel and Emboss", "Gloss," "Color overlay", "gradient overlay", "pattern overlay", "stroke" and other styles.

In the actual editing process, it is often necessary to combine the use of multiple layer styles to achieve results, you want to read after the interest, you have to seize the time to try it yourself.
