Neutral color is the fastest way to reduce the saturation, but in the reduction of saturation, you need to first of all colors in the picture to reduce the saturation, and then reduce the overall saturation, so that the effect of a more layered sense.
1, open the material picture, create hue/saturation adjustment layer, the whole map, yellow, green, green adjustment, parameter settings such as Figure 1-4, the effect is shown in Figure 5. This step quickly turns the main color of the picture into a neutral color.

2. Press CTRL + J to copy the current hue/saturation adjustment layer and change the opacity to: 30%, the effect is as follows.

3, create curve adjustment layer, RGB, red, blue channel adjustment, parameter settings such as Figure 7-9, the effect is shown in Figure 10. This step deepens the darker color of the picture and adds blue to the picture.

4, create a new layer, press the letter key "D" to restore the background color to the default black and white. Then select the menu: Filter > Render > Cloud, and then change the blending mode to "color filter".
Add a layer mask, select the Gradient tool, set the color to black and white, and pull the white to black linear gradient from the upper-right corner to the lower-left corner, as shown below.
