Photoshop Tutorial: Channel pull Branches

First open the tree branch picture

Copy the background layer, we see a lot of branches, if the use of pen buckle can put your hand tired cramp, with magic wand may not be able to buckle clean, we use the channel to try, go to the channel panel.

We chose the blue channel, because the branches and the background contrast is quite large.

Image > Calculation commands.

Set as follows.

Generate a new channel ALPHA1, the effect is as follows.

At present the contrast is not obvious enough, we apply the calculation command again, blending mode to overlay.

Generate channel ALPHA2, the effect is as follows.

We see that there are some gray areas at the top of the screen, we use the color order to deal with, ctrl+l shortcut keys.

Now the picture is black and white, we want the effect, we want to separate the branches out of the ctrl+i, the branches of the part of the red.

Press CTRL to click on the alpha2 thumbnail and pull up the white tree selection and return to the Layers panel.
