The combination comparison operator, known in English as combined comparison operator, is a symbol of <=>, and it has an image name called the spaceship operator. The combination comparison operator makes it easy to compare two variables, not limited to the comparison of numeric data types.

The syntax is this:

$c $a $b;

The meaning of this code is

• If $ A > $b, the value of $c is 1
• if $ A = = $b, the value of $c is 0
• If $ A < $b, the value of $c is-1

In the absence of a spaceship operator, we can only write code like this.

$c $a $b $a= =$b ? 0:-1);
