The Phpize command is a compilation environment that prepares the PHP extension installation. Used to manually compile and install the PHP extension. Generally use PECL to install PHP extensions. If PECL cannot be installed, such as behind a firewall, or the extension to be installed does not have a Compatibility pack in PECL. Manually compile the installation using Phpize. Phpize is typically installed in PHP's Bin directory by default with this PHP installation. View version

2. Phpize install extensions such as installing MONGO PHP extensions. Download and Decompress first:
wget--no-check-certificate "Https://github.com/mongodb/mongo-php-driver/archive/master.zip" Unzip master CD Mongo-php-driver-master
Run Phpize
/home/gang/php/bin/phpize
Start installation
./configure--with-php-config=/home/work/gang/php/php/bin/php-config make && make install
The mongo.so file is generated in the PHP extentsion directory. After the installation is successful, you need to add "extension=mongo.so" to the php.ini. It is then viewed through bin/php-m, which has MONGO extensions in the list. Then restart Apache to use it.
