PHP development environment configuration (MySQL database installation graphic tutorial ). 1. MySQL installation run MYSQL installation program (mysql-essential-5.1.40-win32.msi) select installation type Custom click Change button Change installation directory to D disk (1, MySQL installation)

Run the MYSQL installer (mysql-essential-5.1.40-win32.msi)

Select Custom as the installation type.

Click the Change button to Change the installation directory.

Change the installation directory to D (depending on your system)

Click Install to start installation.

The installer starts to install MySQL to the specified path.

During the installation process, some advertisement points will be merged and skipped Next.

After the installation is complete, the following page appears. select Configrue the MySQL Server now option and click Finish.

Click the Next button to configure MySQL. for the configuration options, see the options in the image.

Note that you must select Charater Set as utf8

Set a password for the MySQL root user
