PHP reads MySQL Chinese garbled characters

The Chinese content field in MySQL read with PHP today is garbled.

Use the following statement to set the connection encoding.

$ Charset = $ params ['charset']; mysql_query ('set character_set_connection = $ charset, character_set_results = $ charset, character_set_client = binary ', $ db );

 

I'm sure utf8 is used when the database is created, and the page output code is UTF-8, which is correct. Where is the problem? Debugging PHP found that the results read from the database are garbled. Is there a connection problem?

After searching online, modify the preceding statement:

Mysql_query ('set NAMES utf8', $ db );

Run the command again and the result is OK. Can only set names be used?

Suddenly, I suddenly realized that the single quotation marks were used for executing mysql_query () without parsing $ charset.
