Windows 3.1 is running on a Raspberry Pi, and you naturally want to run Windows 10. So you're ready to install a system of Windows IoT core on the Raspberry Pi.

When writing this text, it's not the first time that you've installed Windows IoT core. After I got the Raspberry Pi on my birthday, I immediately tried a Windows IoT Core. Support for the official PI 3 was not released at the time, using the version of Windows Insider. Raspberry Pi 3 and Raspberry Pi 2 are the biggest differences, which are self-brought WiFi and Bluetooth adapters. At the time, there was a big problem with the version of Windows IoT that doesn't support Raspberry Pi 3 bluetooth.

With the launch of the Windows 10 Anniversary Edition, Windows IoT Core also has an anniversary version available. In this version, the first Bluetooth problem was solved.

There are a number of ways to install the Windows IoT Core system to the Raspberry Pi, one that I used immediately, using noobs to install online.

Of course, in addition to noobs, there are direct swipe options:

First verify that the Windows 10 10.0.10240 version of the computer operating system is installed, and then download the device Dashboard app.

When the installation is complete, open the IoT dashboard app to download the required images by device type, OS version. Once the download is complete, you can use the IoT dashboard app to perform a SD/TF card brush write. When you're done, plug the card into the Raspberry Pi, and if you use the same network, you can automatically discover new devices in my device and then connect to the device for management. An introduction to how to manage this later.

Of course, the ISO can also be downloaded for installation, and the anniversary version of Windows IoT corresponds to the same version number as the Windows 10 Anniversary edition, which is 1607.

Both of these methods are actually using DISM to release the mirror to the SD/TF card.

When the Windows IoT Core system on the Raspberry Pi is started, there will be a very simple interface, not the imagined Windows 10 UI. You can run a UWP app on it.
