Oracle 11g Lite Client Configuration

Oracle is typically deployed on the server, and the client needs to connect to Oracle on the server using connection tools such as PL/SQL Developer.
At this point, it is often necessary to install hundreds of megabytes of Oracle on the client and then configure the completion of PL/SQL Developer support through the Oracle Network Configuration Wizard.
And if we just need to link Oracle to perform general additions and deletions, we do not need to install the full Oracle client, and just install a Oracle-provided tool INSTANTCLIENT-BASIC (compressed 33M), you can implement the use of pl/ SQL Developer to connect to Oracle on the server.

Installation steps: 1. Download the installation tool first

2. Installation

• 1) Unzip the Oracle 32-bit thin client to D:\Oracle\, folder name Instantclient_11_2
• 2) Configure Environment variables

• 3) Create the Tnsnames.ora file under D:\Oracle\instantclient_11_2 and fill in the configuration file

• 4) Unzip the plsql_developer8.0 file to D:\Oracle\, open the PL/SQL software to do the following configuration

Open Software--tools--preferences--connect--Check the connection check box to play √

Oracle 主目录名下配置D:\Oracle\instantclient_11_2OCI库 配置D:\Oracle\instantclient_11_2\oci.dll
