Port ing can be set on the vro and on the proxy server. In fact, the firewall of Windows Server 2003/XP/2000 also supports port ing.
Assume that the IP address of the computer for port ing is 192.168.0.1. Complete the ing of port 80 of 192.168.0.1 to port 8080 of 192.168.0.10 and perform the following settings.
- Open "Windows Firewall" and select the "advanced" tab.
- On the "advanced" tab, select "Local Connection" for port ing, and click "set" to open the "Advanced Settings" window.
- In the advanced settings window, click Add or edit to open the service settings window.
- In the "service settings" window, enter the service description. In the "name or IP address of the computer hosting the service on your network" area, enter the IP address (192.168.0.10) of the other computer mapped to the port. Enter the port number (80) for external access in the "external Port Number of this service" field; in "internal port number of the service", enter the port number (8080) that hosts the service on another computer you map ).
All the requests configured above to access port 192.168.0.1: 80 are automatically redirected to port 192.168.0.10: 8080.
If you have multiple NICs on your computer and want to map a port of one of the NICS, you only need to select the corresponding "Local Connection" in step 1.
