In Linux, iptables is the configuration tool that supports the netfilter mechanism. It is equivalent to an application that can configure netfilter (packet filtering rules, NAT, and so on ). Therefore, netfilter (iptables) must be implemented in two aspects: 1) the kernel supports netfilter; 2) the iptables configuration command at the user layer.

1. Compile the kernel and support netfilter
