When I first heard these things, I thought that when I graduated, many people think that my character and ability are more suitable for market development. On the contrary, I chose to do R & D. In my opinion, management is a relatively advanced field and I have no class background, it is impossible to do well without strict training. The reality of China, the success of management is more dependent on your opportunities and background rather than your real skills.

The same is true for the Chinese market. It is not to say that the Chinese people despise market personnel. The Chinese people have the ability to confuse and mess up the environment and conduct good market behaviors. When they arrive in China, they will mutate. Forgive me for expressing my thoughts bluntly, market personnel always put customers first, and even need to lose their own human principles, which is unacceptable to me. The deeper idea is that I have always felt that R & D is a very interesting thing. I need to use my own wisdom to create things that the world did not originally have, and it is purely a product of mental power, this is a sense of accomplishment far from the experience of the processing and manufacturing industry. It is better to feel that what you have made for this society is a real contribution, or even a reward for your smart brain. What is difficult in the market is not just to accompany customers to dinner, drink, play, or even more. This is not what I want to face. Management is too difficult and there is no idea at all. Development is still the best. This is an industry designed for smart people. A group of absolutely smart people creates high-tech products. Therefore, when others say the above words to me, I can only express disdain.
  
However, with the passage of time and the experience of various things, I gradually came into contact with people in various fields, and I found my point of view is changing. No longer regard development as mysterious and noble, and gradually realize that management is indeed the most difficult thing and the biggest difficulty facing most Chinese enterprises, how difficult it is for management personnel to fully mobilize all kinds of people to form a united team and move forward together. Some years ago, some people gave an example of management: they gave all the components and technical materials of the Boeing 747 to the Chinese, and China could not create a practical Boeing 747 aircraft. Dai mingyou said: management is to provide employees with the best working environment for efficient work. When talking about a team, a manager is a service leader who can support everyone and move the team toward a common goal. in my opinion, management is to provide a fair competition environment, focus on talent mining, talent cultivation, clear rewards and punishments, and do their best to mobilize everyone's enthusiasm, discovering and maximizing the advantages of each person, management is a broad and profound discipline and has the highest requirements for people.
  
Requirements for managers: Psychology, integrated learning, global grasp, communication, coordination, organization, insight, motivation, diligence, ability to withstand pressure, brave, decision-making, decisive wit, the ability to learn, reform, listen, accept new things, and make corrections.

You need to know that dealing with people is the most difficult thing. We need to face each other directly with our competitors and confront each other across the board. This is a good thing. However, development can also make people introverted and not good at communication, communication skills are limited. Maybe you are not convinced. When you are dealing with a variety of people on critical occasions, it shows that developers have limited presentation skills and insufficient communication skills. In particular, the problem is too one-sided, and the technical depth may be acceptable, but the overall situation cannot be grasped. Developers only need to manage themselves most of the time and do not have more opportunities to contact the outside world, the problem of insufficient adaptability and poor psychological endurance in key scenarios is inevitable when the thinking is relatively closed. I believe many people will feel this way. There are even situations where you are timid, afraid to take responsibility, and do not want to be enterprising. Of course, I only use China as an example. Although many foreign technical masters write humorous books, even if the books written by foreigners describe developers as unpretentious, introverted person. Deciding on a person's success is more dependent on emotional intelligence and adversity, rather than IQ. Most people who are at the forefront of society are going out from the market and management.
