Postgresql basic commands

After postgresql is installed, you cannot use other accounts to execute the following commands. By default, you can use the postgres account.

 

Createdb dbname

Create a new database. If no database name is added, create a database name with the same name as the user name.

 

Dropdb dbname

Delete Database

 

 

Psql dbname

Enter the database operation interface

 

The subsequent operations are similar to General SQL. You can use \ q to exit the psql console and ,\? Displays specific postgresql commands and \ h displays all SQL statements.

 

\ D

Show all tables (the pg_tables table contains all table information)

\ L

Display All databases (the pg_database table contains all database information)
