The Powerleader PR1700G2 server uses the Intel Sr1400sys chassis, which is 43m x 430m x 672mm and is suitable for high-density deployments. The Intel Sr1400sys motherboard is installed in the chassis, which uses Intel E7520, ICH5R, and 6700PXH chips, with the highest support for two-way Xeon processors (800MHz FSB, 1MB/2MB L2).

Iometer is an I/O subsystem evaluation tool that can be used for a single system or cluster system, and we only use its disk testing capabilities. Webbench and NetBench are two commonly used software in server evaluation, which focuses on the performance evaluation of the server CPU subsystem, while the latter focuses on the performance evaluation of the IO subsystem. We installed the Microsoft Windows 2003 Standard Edition (Chinese, 32bit) on the servers configured above, and correctly installed the drivers for each hardware, and the processor and memory performance test spec is a standard performance evaluation company (Standard performance Abbreviation for evaluation Corporation). Spec is a non-profit organization made up of computer manufacturers, system integrators, universities, research institutes, and consulting companies that aim to establish and maintain a set of standards for evaluating computer systems. After Powerleader engineers find out the reason found that the BIOS default hardware prefetcher and adjacent Cache line prefetch both options are disable status, after enabling them, the performance of the server tested finally returned to normal (we have verified , found primarily to be the impact of the adjacent Cache line prefetch option, we looked at most of the other servers and did not provide this tuning option. Powerleader recommends that the user decide whether to turn on this feature based on the actual application. From our test results, the memory bandwidth test results are at the upstream level in the server being tested.

A certain amount of optimization is done, the unwanted service is turned off and the server is working in the best state. The Iometer is a very powerful IO test software that provides the ability to simulate network applications in addition to the native IO (disk) performance of the test native. In this test, we just let it run the test server's disk performance on the local computer. The Powerleader PR1700G2 server onboard LSI 1020A scsi/raid controller can support RAID 1 or RAID 0 mode disk arrays. We set up a file server on the tested server, NetBench through 32 clients in the network lab to simulate the file transfer request from the PC to the file server, the file server will be stored inThe file data on the disk is sent to the appropriate client. As with the Webbench test, the client will connect to the server and send file transfer requests in each of the four sets after the NetBench test begins. At the end of the test, the console collects the data and draws the change curve of the data transfer that the server can achieve.
