Yes, YaST2 provides the MTA function for configuring Sendmails. YaST2 does not provide the Dovecot module to configure the mail server, so I have to use Webmin to complete this task.

Besides the command line, Webmin is my favorite Configuration tool. In addition, without Webmin, I cannot complete the Linux server configuration task without using the command line, so it is not the most important to write this series of articles ).

Therefore, from this perspective, I have to call on open-source program developers: You need to understand the requirements of Linux system configurations and take further measures to provide tools to complete these configurations. Linxu needs a comprehensive tool that administrators can use to complete any system settings they need.

YaST2 is very close. Apart from the mail server configuration, ftp configuration and LDAP server configuration, users can load modules used for this function, which should be included by default, yaST2 may be the best Linux system management tool.

However, I do not understand why YaST2 omitted these service configurations. I think it may be because there are too many options for completing these service configurations. If too many options are included, the Administrator may no longer use Suse.

To solve this problem, YaST2 developers can create modules to complete these common service configurations for users to download and use. Isn't this able to solve many problems?

I still remember the situation when I used Linuxconf. It was my first system configuration. I think the system management tool at that time was used to complete all the tasks ).

However, it is almost impossible to find a Linux release with Linuxconf. Fedora Core uses a series of single tools in the/usr/bin directory. The system-config-* tool is very useful, but the problem is that if you use a window manager like Enlightenment, I will use this tool), instead of using common KDE or GNOME, at this time, you must know the name of each command to use them.

To my surprise, this tool is available in Suse, but not in Fedora Core. This only explains why there are so many different tools that most people do not use Linux.

Maybe it's time for the Linux community to unite and develop an integrated and user-friendly system management tool that can be added to various Release versions, this will allow system administrators to clearly understand their current tasks from one release to another.

Do not misunderstand what I mean. Generally, I like the challenges brought by Linux, But I know most people do not like these challenges, especially when they are preparing to perform company-level server or desktop configuration and maintain their normal operation.

The system administrator who works in this area hopes to complete the work in a simple and efficient manner. In my opinion, completing configuration work from one tool to another does not improve work efficiency.

Therefore, I call on the open-source community to unite and develop an integrated, powerful, user-friendly system management tool that can complete as many service configurations as possible.
