Using Metadata generated by Pentaho Metadata Editor (PME) as a data source
Pentaho report Designer (PRD) can support a variety of data source input methods. Pentaho Metadata Editor as a member of the home platform, it should be a cinch. Right.

1. Similarly, create a new parameter
2. Import Metadata Data source • Browse to PME generated XMI file • Enter domain, which is consistent with domain defined in PME • Create query Click the [Pencil] icon to edit the query
3. Edit query A domain may contain multiple data models, so in the upper-left corner, select: domain The data model and then add the fields that are included in the model to the right, as needed: 1. extract objects; 2. conditions; 3. Sorting. As you can see, in [conditions], the parameters need to be expanded with curly braces, such as "{XXX}". The name of the parameter must also be the same as the parameter name defined earlier. Note: One of the fields of the extracted object here is aggregated by count, which is defined in PME: 1. Default aggregation mode, 2. Optional aggregation method. If it is not defined, the default display will be [NONE], and the drop-down arrow will not have any options.

※ There are times when the editor operation confirms that it does not respond to the query code and does not generate the expected query. You can only edit the query manually at this time. After editing, and then click the [Pencil] button, the modified content can be correctly reflected in the editor. It's so weird.
4. Preview to see the effect
Error. Very good. The normal course of study cannot be smooth and calm. Otherwise it would be too strange.
The data source is generated from PME, so start troubleshooting from PME. In PME, the formula is used because a field in the object is filtered. Using the field of the formula, you need to put a tick on the red box.
Then, resave, generate XMI file, PRD import the newly generated XMI, re-preview. Everything is fine.
