Preparations before deploying SQL Server on the new Server
When you need to deploy a new server, you may encounter many mistakes if you have no deployment experience, and make the maintenance work more difficult in the future, here I will share some of my server deployment experience with you.
1. After logging on to the server, format the physical disk in 64 K format as the allocation unit.
Because sqlserver data is stored by PAGE, one page is 8 k, and the eight pages are exactly a zone, that is, 64 k, everyone knows this (I admit that I have never tested the actual effect and whether it is useful ).
2. Modify the server name.
It is best to change the machine name to a machine name to know which business is located, which machine room is located, and which machine is located. Try not to use the default one, which will be good for ssms queries or interactions between various servers in the future.
I remember that the machine name was to be restarted (this has not been done for a long time, but I cannot remember--). When you have installed the sqlserver service, you can modify the machine name, by default, the database still uses the previous machine name and has to execute command modification. Therefore, it is best to change it when you take over the server, saving trouble for the future.
3. Modify the server password.
It is best to open two remote Windows A and B at the same time, use window A to change the password, then click Save to close the connection, and then open A new remote desktop and enter the new account password to try again, right. (Keep window B because you still have the opportunity to change the password in window B if the password in window A is incorrect ).
4. Check the default OS language in the control panel.
This will affect the default sorting rules for SQL Server installation.
5. ipconfig: Check whether you have allocated the Intranet and Internet ip addresses you want, and whether the ip addresses are configured incorrectly.
6. If you do not want to use the default port of sqlserver, add rules to the firewall in advance.

The above are some of my server deployment experiences, which are of low level and limited technology. I will share them with you. If you have any errors or need to add them, please refer to them.
