Preparing the front-end server for deployment Active Directory Domain Services

1. Run the schema preparation

1.1. Use Setup to run the schema preparation

1 log in to the server in the forest as a member of the schema Admins group and with administrator privileges on the schema master.

2 from the Lync Server 2010 installation folder or media, run Setup.exe to start the Deployment Wizard.

3 If you are prompted to install the Microsoft Visual C + + Redistributable SOFTWARE PRODUCT, click Yes.

4 The Installation dialog box for Microsoft Lync Server 2010 prompts you to choose a location to install Lync Server 2010 files. Select the default location or browse to the location you want to select, and then click Install.

5 on the License Agreement page, select I accept the terms of the license Agreement, and then click OK.

6 The installer will install the Lync Server 2010 core Components at this time.

7 When the Deployment Wizard is ready, click Prepare Active Directory, and wait for the deployment status to be determined.

8 in Step 1: Prepare schema, click Run.
