The UI of ArcGIS Desktop 10 has undergone many changes, among which the editing changes are relatively large and have become accustomed to ArcGIS 9. in versions X and earlier, this may be a brand new experience, but don't worry, because it will soon be able to adapt to this new change. Now I will share my recent small discoveries with you, please master your axe.
1. Editor:
Changed from target-based and task-based to template-based. YesCreation elementAfter defining the template, you can clickCreation elementDirectly edit the template in the window. When an elliptic method appears, you can combine the Server Load balancer tool to draw an elliptical arc, and the freehand method appears. In GDB, the method is stored with smooth curves. Discard the original task drop-down box and add the task to their corresponding tool bar based on classification. For example, the modify edge and reshape edge in the topology task are changed to the two buttons in the topology toolbar. For example:
2. Snapping

3. Edit toobox
Seven cutting-edge editing tools are available in ArcGIS 10.
There are too many tools to explain.
4. New Data Source-download data
ArcGIS 10 provides the function of downloading data. In ArcMap, load the Feature Service published by ArcGIS Server (select feature access when publishing the Service). The data source must be sde gdb, in TOC, right-click the layer and create a local copy to download the server data. After editing, the data can be synchronized to the server. This feature is quite powerful. I personally think it is a bit similar to offline editing in ArcPad.
Let's talk about this first. We hope to have more exchanges and grow together ~
