In Word, you can create multiple-section documents with different page numbering for each section. To specify a page or a series of pages to print, you must provide the page number and section number of the series of pages you want to print. In a multiple-section document that contains more than 1th pages, Word cannot determine which page 1th is to be printed if you do not supply the section number at the same time.
To print a series of pages that are distributed across multiple sections, you can use the following syntax in the page number box:
Page number Section number-page number section
For example, you can type P1S1-P2S2 to print pages 1th through 2nd of section 1th to page 2nd of page.
To print a page or a series of pages in Word, follow these steps:
1, scroll to the page you want to start printing, and then click anywhere on the edge of the page.
Note the page numbers and section numbers that appear in the status bar.
2, scroll to the last page you want to include in your print selection, and then click anywhere on the edge of the page.
Note the page numbers and section numbers that appear in the status bar.
3, on the File menu, click Print.
4, click Page number, and then type the print range by using the syntax p#s#-p#s# in the box.
For example, to print page 5th to 4th of section 3rd, type p5s3-p2s4. To print nonadjacent or nonadjacent sections, type the page number and section number, separated by commas (,). For example, to print sections 3rd and 5th (instead of section 4th), type S3,S5. To print the 1th page to the 4th page of pages 2nd through 5th and 5th of section 3rd, type P2S3-P5S3,P1S5-P4S5.
5, click "OK" to print the page range.
