Printer Driver conflict and port exception: after some patches are updated in win10, the printer can be printed locally (the host connected to the printer), and computers in other shared networks can be connected to the printer, but cannot print-solution,
I. Problem description:
1. A (WIN10 System) indicates the computer connected to the printer, P indicates the printer (model: HP 127 M), B (WIN7 System) indicates the computer in the LAN
2. After some patches are updated, A can print the file using printer P. B shows that the file can be connected to or pushed to the printer, but the printer does not work.
Ii. Problems Encountered during handling and solutions:
1. "offline" is displayed when B is printed. Access A, WIN + R-> \ 192.168.1.112 (LAN IP address of A, set A to static IP address) through commands ),
1.1 if the host cannot be accessed, ping 192.168.1.112. If the host does not return A value, open "Control Panel-> network and sharing center-> change advanced sharing Settings" on host ", in guest or public, check whether network discovery and file printer sharing are enabled. If not, enable and save the changes.
1.2 enter the command "WIN + R-> \ 192.168.1.112" on machine B again to check whether the connection is established. If host A is not restarted
2. choose "Settings"> "device"> "Printer" and select the printer to use. Click "manage"> "Printer properties". A printer P corresponds to two drivers, host A can be identified and printed, and host B cannot be identified and selected. Even if A sets one of the preferences, B cannot be printed normally. Solution:
2.1 disconnect the USB connection between printer P and computer A, delete the corresponding two drivers, restart printer P, connect to A and P, and the P driver will be installed. After the installation is complete, click "manage ", select the "share" tab, select all, and customize the printer name.
2.2 (important) Select the "Port" tab and select "USB00x" (x is a number indicating the USB serial number). Some printers default to other models of ports, or, after the computer system is updated, it will be reset to another port. Check "USB00x"
2.3 select the "Security" tab, check "Everyone" to allow printing, and "OK"
3. Delete the original printer connection and re-establish the connection
3.1 open "Control Panel-> devices and printers", delete the original printer connection, and add a new printer. Set it to the default printer.
4. Connect other computers to server
4.1 Delete the original printer connection, and then WIN + R input \ 192.168.1.112 (IP address of host A). After the connection is complete, select the desired printer.
5. Problem Summary
After the 5.1 WIN10 system is updated, the original printer port allocation is abnormal and the port is reset to a non-USB port.
5.2 network problems. Due to system problems of host A, the background running program crashes. As A result, other computers cannot access the system over the network. restart the system and try again.
5.3 driver conflict. A printer may have drivers of multiple versions or multiple language versions, resulting in driver conflict, other computers in the network cannot select a normal driver, and the files submitted cannot be printed.
5.4 if other shared configurations are faulty. if the system is in use and cannot be used after the system is updated, check the corresponding device sharing settings.
