Privacy and security IE8 vs. three mainstream browsers

At present, the market share of IE browsers has gradually declined, and some new browsers, such as Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Google Chrome, are replaced by testing the second version, however, Microsoft hopes to reverse this unfavorable trend with ie8.

After a comprehensive investigation of the four browsers, we concluded that IE8 seems to be the most convenient way to schedule and maintain the market share of large or small networks. In addition, IE8 will be able to compete with or even surpass other browsers. Here we will give a general introduction to the main features of IE8 and discuss the advantages of companies in using IE8 over other browsers.

Easy Scheduling

IE8 is especially suitable for companies that want to use large web browsers. It should be emphasized that Microsoft has provided IE8 with functions built on the company's existing scheduling and update platform. In contrast, Mozilla relies on third-party Firefox custom plug-ins, such as FrontMotion Firefox MSI, kipwizard, and FirefoxADM. In addition, Safari and Chrome are not suitable for providing custom scheduling plug-ins for customers across the network.

Microsoft has begun to vigorously promote the ability of IE8 to automatically switch the IE7 compatibility mode when necessary. However, due to the fact that IE7 and earlier versions often fail to meet network standards, Web developers write their web pages based on IE browsers. Once expanded through the network, IE8 will not undermine the Enterprise Intranet: Intranet or Intranet websites will automatically default the compatibility of IE7, so enterprises do not have to rewrite the intranet-oriented company webpage. Similarly, Internet surfing or external browsing with IE8 will automatically default to the new "standard mode ". Firefox, Chrome, and Safari have been more or less compliant with this network standard over the past few years, but they do not have this compatibility mode.

Get a webpage from Google Chrome, and IE8 will provide built-in paging failure protection. In case of a webpage error, only the affected webpage is attacked, not the entire browser. Firefox and Safari versions do not support this isolation feature. However, when a browser window is attacked, Firefox will repair the entire browser; safari also has a similar function called "re-open all the windows of the last browsing" to help you fix the previous browser windows, regardless of whether the previous window is attacked or not.

Superior Performance

Although Microsoft did not adopt any design before page browsing, IE8 development aims to achieve a major leap in the area of page browsing. When a new tag is opened for the link on the webpage, the color code-related tag appears next to the original webpage. Chrome, Firefox, and Safari do not provide this function. On the other hand, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Firefox3.1 can remove a tag from the browser and create a new, independent browser session box. IE8 does not have this capability. However, IE8 will provide some new features of tags: When you open a new tag, in other options, the browser will provide you with the option to re-open a closed tag or restore the previous browser window.

IE8 will also have a unique "accelerator"-a shortcut for opening services on a given webpage. Save cutting and pasting. Instead, simply highlight the text and click the blue accelerator icon to open a new blog, email, map, and search on the current page, even translation services. This web page contains the web page function is invalid for Firefox (without plug-ins), Chrome or Safari.

Another unique feature is the network slide, which is used to monitor a specific part of a web page-weather radar chart, for example, an eBay auction process-the page where you do not need to repeatedly ask for a return visit. You only need to simply select a webpage element, drag it to the toolbar, and browse it as needed. The company may apply the network slides to the Intranet Information and the channels using the company's services.

Mozilla copies its address bar to Firefox3's "Excellent bar" because it shows URL recommendations from browsing history and bookmarks. IE8 will have its own better toolbar with unique deletion recommendations, which are not provided by Firefox. The deletion recommendations may help prevent shoulder sp and reduce privacy issues caused by the use of public computers.

If you share a computer with others, you may wish that the web pages you browsed will not be added to the browsing history, or that any newly created cookies will be deleted after you browsed them. Safari is the first browser to provide private browsing. Chrome solved this problem in the form of implicit names. Firefox intends to add some private browsing forms to Firefox3.1.

Internet Explorer 8

In IE8, Microsoft will introduce "private browsing ". When we are in the private browsing stage, both IE8 (when IE8 was launched) and Chrome (the current version) can display signals like visual indicators. Safari does not provide this visual clue, and Firefox does not declare that the UI will change the original plan to add this feature. Although the browsing records will be stored on external network servers, all the traces left during surfing will disappear at the end of the browsing process.

Private browsing seems to provide confidentiality, but Apple and Microsoft keep high-speed caches, including private browsing records. Is this a conflict? No. Apple uses a DS buffer, so Safari does not frequently request DNS information on a frequently accessed site. IE8 stores information about your private site, which may collect information about your visit. However, Apple and Microsoft both claim that these records can be deleted through configuration options.

Better security

Perhaps the most worrying version of IE is the low security. Here, let's talk about this. Microsoft has achieved a major victory in the competition by enabling "Trusted Computing" to check code lines. Both IE8 (run in safe mode) and Chrome will run in a low-integrity environment, which means they cannot run applications without user permission. These two browsers are designed to use "Data Execution Protection" and "address space layout representatives" to prevent remote malicious code.

All new browsers support extended validation SSL, a way to further build the trusted site you are visiting. Only Safari does not change the address bar to green to transmit additional security signals. All four browsers support anti-phishing protection. Although Safari3.2 is terminated, anti-malware protection is not provided.

Cross-site scripting and other functions

When a malicious website uses a JAVA Script to read and write data to another site, a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack occurs. Unlike the other three competing browsers, IE8 will provide built-in XSS protection. Firefox recommends that you install third-party plug-ins without scripts. So far, neither Chrome nor Safari has provided such protection.

The term "clickjacking", created by WhiteHat security researcher Jeremiah Grossman and Robert Hansen of SecTheory, refers to a less common but dangerous example: hackers cheat users to click a hidden link and run unknown programs, such as peripheral devices such as cameras or delete data from the post office at night. Because the attack uses a common decoding program, Microsoft believes that the best way to resist is to add a special tag for developers-X framework selection. IE8 will filter clickjaking attempts. We recommend that you use the non-script plug-in Firefox to avoid clickjaking. Chrome and Safari do not provide special protection for clickjacking.

IE8 has powerful new features and ease of scheduling. It seems that IE8 is one of the most networked work designs in all browsers. Organizations that are currently running IE must upgrade Internet Explorer to Internet Explorer 8 when Microsoft releases Internet Explorer 8. Other browsers built on Internet Explorer should measure the performance and security, they will also make profits if they return to IE.
