Install Oracle 10g in Windows 7. The orcale version used is 10 Gb.

Step 1:

Download from the orcale official website, for: http://download.oracle.com/otn/nt/oracle10g/10203/10203_vista_w2k8_x86_production_db.zip

You can directly copy it to thunder to download it. The size is 778 MB.

Step 2:

Click setup.exe to install it. After pre-judgment, if the following error message is displayed:

1 error, 1 warning, 2 requirements to be verified
Error details: Checking operating system requirements... Expected results: 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 6.0 actual results: 6.1 check completed. The overall result of this check is: Failed <problem: Oracle Database 10g has not been certified in the current operating system. Proposal: ensure that the software is installed on the correct platform.

Warning details: Checking Network Configuration Requirements... Check complete. The overall result of this check is: Failed <problem: the installation detects that the system's primary IP address is the IP address assigned by DHCP. Proposal:
Oracle supports installation on systems with IP addresses allocated by DHCP. Before installation, you must configure the Microsoft loopback adapter as the primary network adapter of the system. For more information about installing software on a system with DHCP configured, see the installation guide.

Details of the problem to be verified are as follows: Checking Service Pack requirements... Check complete. The overall result of this check is: not executed <OUI-18001: the operating system is not supported
'Windows Vista Version 6.1 ′. Proposal: Install the recommended service pack.

If the above information is displayed, perform the following operations;

1. perform static binding on the IP address of the computer. Do not manually obtain the IP address.

2. Oracle cannot recognize Windows 7. You only need to modify the refhost. xml file so that Oracle can recognize the operating system type. Click the Oracle Installation File and search for it directly. Because Oracle may have multiple refhost. XML files, each file must be modified. Then add the following code:
<! -Microsoft Windows 7-> to add a location, see XP or Vista in the refhost. xml file. After modifying all the refhost. xml files in Oracle, click Install. There is no problem with the smooth sailing.

(The following is the modified refhost. xml file. The red part is the added content)
