Problems and Solutions for installing postgresql-8.4.4-1-windows-binaries in Windows

1. 'initdb' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operableprogram or batch file appears.

Cause: a problem occurred when configuring the PATH environment variable. My problem is that the semicolon is entered in Chinese mode. Remember to enter a semicolon in English.

2. The data folder cannot appear in the pgsql folder.

Cause: if the account user name is not in English, an error code is returned. Above '?? 'Indicates that the Chinese user name cannot be displayed in DOS. Create another account (in English) and redo all the steps under this user. OK ~
