If you have installed and used the android SDK before, you can use the android SDK and AVD Manager (in eclipse-> window-> Android SDK and AVD manager) to update and upgrade the SDK. In the pop-up Android SDK field, select available packages on the left and select the components to be installed.
However, I encountered the following error when performing this operation:
XML Verification Failed for http://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/repository.xml.
Error: cvc-elt.1: cannot find the declaration of element 'sdk: SDK-repository '.
Failed to fetch http://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/repository.xml, reason: Unknown
I checked the relevant information on the Internet (too few) for the following reasons:
"The reason is that the schema of the Repository XML file changed when we released Rev 5, but only tools in Revision 4 or higher can adapt to schema changes ."
That is to say, because the architecture of the XML file library (repository XML file) has changed during the release of Rev 5, only Revision 4 or a later version can adapt to this architecture change. That is to say, because the version of the android SDK tools we are using is too low (too old ). You can query the version of Android SDK tools in the installed packages on the left of eclipse-> window-> Android SDK and AVD manager.
Therefore, you need to download the new version of Android SDK or the appropriate version of Android SDK tools.
In eclipse> help> check for update, select ADT tools for updates. After the update, in eclipse-> window-> Android SDK and AVD manager, select available packages on the left and then select the check box next to the URL on the right, you can install the software as needed.
