Problems encountered during Sybase Restoration: 20141219, sybase20141219

1. Create a backup server:

Click Start ----> sybase ------> sybase config -------> Create BackupServer

1.1 click "create BackupServer", name the backup server, click "network address" Next, and click "add". Add the application server name and port number separated by commas, (The port number is not used ). Click continue.

1.2 after the backup Server is configured, click Start --> sybase --> Dsedit Utility. Click Server Object ---> add ---> in the menu bar to name the backup Server to be added (Backup Server name) ---> set the Address of the backup Server, double-click Server Address in the right window -----> Add the application Server name and port number, and separate them with commas (,). Click Add to add the Address, you can test the Server. Right-click in the window on the right and select Ping Server.

1.3 after completing the preceding two steps, click Start ----> sybase ------> Sybase Central and then click Remote Server in the tree menu on the left -----> Add remote server and write SYB_BACKUP In the first text box in the pop-up form, SYB_BACKUP is a keyword. For the second keyword, select the name of the backup server and click Next until the backup server is complete.

2. the backup service cannot be started.

Modify the registry and delete the following content:
\ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ SYBASE \ Server \ _ BS

Delete the following registered key values:
\ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services
SYBBCK__BS

Restart Windows
Rebuild the backup service (do not say how to create it) and change the backup port to 5001.
Restart your computer. Haha, let's take a look.
Note: You must change the port to 5001.

3. An error is reported during restoration: can't open a connection to site 'syb _ backup'

It is found that the srvnetname corresponding to SYB_BACKUP in the sysservers table of the master database is inconsistent with the backup service name in dsedit,

Execute update sysservers set srvnetname = 'xxx _ BS 'where srvid = 1

However, the error "Ad-hoc updates to system catalogs not enabled. A user with System Security Officer (SSO) role must reconfigure system to allow this" is reported,

In this case, you only need to execute sp_configure "allow update", 1 and then modify the sysservers table.

Run load database test from 'd: \ test. dat, and then run online database test!

Summary:

1. If this error occurs, check whether the Sybase BCKServer service has been started. 2. Check whether the backup service can be pinged in dsedit. 3. Check the configuration of the sysservers table in the master database. 4. Check the dump in the backup database. the same method is used when the database reports this error. 5. The preceding statements can be executed at SQL Advantage, you can also run the following command in CMD:

Isql-Usa-Ppassword-Sservername

1> load database test from 'd: \ test. dat '2> after go is restored successfully, run 1> online database test
2> go
