These two days to install the test management tool, the FTP site successfully downloaded the QC STARTER 9.0. When installing on WIN2003 server, the following error occurred, perhaps related to the SQL Express I installed.

Online Search a number of solutions, is sorted out as follows, left to one by one trial:

1. Installation QC9.0 process, there is a place to enter the system's user name, password, domain, but even if I enter the correct username password, still prompt: Username or password error, I tried n times, or error, I was going crazy. Workaround: Username and password This block does not enter, but be sure to enter the domain, the domain input the computer name of the machine, and then the next step can be passed.   If the field does not enter or enter another name, the QC can not start, will be reported at startup: "Can ' t start Quality Center", this piece must note that the domain input the local computer name. 2.

1. The JBoss service during installation always prompts the username password incorrectly when typing the Windows system username password domain.

Workaround: My Computer-> Properties-> Advanced-> performance Settings-> Data Execution Protection: Select the first item, and do not select the second item. Reboot the computer and install the QC again this barrier passes.

2. Connection Database , an error occurred while prompting the property to attempt to connect to the database correctly. Please check that the database is available and that the given parameters are correct. Click Back to correct the database configuration variable. And I can't connect with anyone else because I don't have access to my database.

Workaround: This problem is primarily a database connectivity issue.

A. The Program->sql2005-> Configuration tool->sql The server perimeter configuration-> remote connection-> Select the Use TCP/IP only option.
B. program->sql2005-> Configuration Tool->sql Server configuration manager-> Configure network configuration via disable in the protocol below, Named pipes disable; Named pipes Disabled, make sure that SQL Server restarts the service.

At this time the database should be connected to the Internet.

The installation of QC will no longer have a database connection. All the way to success.

4. Other machines can not access the problem, I resolved.
You add the parameter-B 0.0.0.0 after starting the JBoss batch file Run.bat
This way, other machines will be able to access your QC.

5.

It took me 2 days to finally finish, from TD7.6 to TD8 to QC9 ...

Finally, Jboss+2003server R2+sql SERVER 2005 was used to fix it.

Essentials Simple sloppy work note style scribble say

First, configure the SQL Server's perimeter application configuration, remote connection startup, automatic.

Then configure SQL SERVER 2005,SA user, password self-determined

Select SQL Authentication Login.

First set up a super administrator, permissions assigned to administrators, but do not use the administrator, I tried, there is a problem with the permissions, and domain may be concerned. Finally installed finished, will always be able to open the QC page, blank.

Then the domain name will use your computer name.

Then select the JBoss server and use the JBoss built-in Web server.

Select SQL Authentication login, SA 1

Site Management Name Set yourself

Finally, a problem was found that failed to run the QC start after a reboot because a run.bat batch file was unable to run, which was the key to running Jbossservice.

Another problem to note is that it is best not to install demo test items, choose None.

Unless you are SQL SERVER 2000, because I am SQLSERVER2005, read the online post saying there are compatibility issues.

Anyway, I always complain, when I'm 100%.

Direct deletion of the QC start Concorl in the boot is not required. Then add Run.bat to the scheduled task.

Otherwise you only have to run it manually every time, obviously unscientific.

Everything's OK after use

< But the new problem comes out again, unable to submit a flaw.

Very convenient, there is ping, find impassability. Then consider whether the database server is a problem.

Then I canceled the SQL Server engine for the test project I set up beforehand. Ok>

SQLSERVER2005 Connection

Need to modify the connection mode in SQL2005

SQL SERVER 2005

Configuration Tool

1: Open the SQL2005 perimeter configuration and start the remote connection in the SQL service

2: Open SQL Server Configuration Manager to start SQL Servers and modify the startup mode to Automatic

3: Open SQL Server Management Studio connects to the database using SQL authentication (validation)

The first 3 steps of normal pass after the installation of QC, the database where only need to fill in the correct sa password on the ~.

installation Environment: Windows 2003 SP2 + sqlserver2005

QC version: qc9.0 Chinese version, download address: Http://www.17testing.com/download/QC90_CN.zip

Workaround: When you enter a Windows logon user, password, domain, and the user cannot use a Super administrator (you can create a new user with Super Administrator privileges), the domain enters the full name of the server computer. Linked databases must be authenticated in SQL Server mode (if you do not know the password for the user SA, create a new user with the same permissions).

Install select built-in JBoss and prompt for login Windows username, password, and domain. Because I'm a super admin. Log on to the local installation, the server is not added to the domain, so the first time the domain is empty, the system prompts that the local network can not access, ignored, continue to install, SQL Server login Select Integrated Windows login, installation smooth, but after the installation of JBoss can not start Can ' t start Quality Center. Know is JBoss configuration problem, but do not know how to solve, according to the method provided online, tried a variety of are invalid. See a lot of people on the Internet to say that the domain must input, if there is no domain on the input computer name, but I always prompt the user name password error, baffled. Then suddenly thought of a new user with Super Admin privileges to log in, it worked. But when the link to SQL Server is stuck again, I used to use integrated Windows login, because I do not know the sa password, ask the other people also said not to remember clearly. Just when I wanted to modify the sa password, I suddenly thought that I could create a new user, so that it had the same permissions as sa ok.

After the installation is successful, start all normal. The problem is solved, long live ...

A user-provided approach may be effective, but make sure you write your own Qcrun.bat file to allow.

In order to enable JBoss to start automatically on power-on, you can follow these steps to resolve it:

Basic idea: By writing the running path of JBoss to one. BAT file (it is not recommended to use its own run.bat file);

Define the execution time for this file in the "Task Scheduler" in win

Suppose: The path to QC's JBoss run file is as follows: D:\Program files\mercury\quality Center\jboss\bin

1. Open a notepad and write something like this:

D:\>CD program Files\mercury\quality Center\jboss\bin

Run.bat

2. Save As Qcrun.bat

3. Start-Settings-control Panel-tasks and schedules-add tasks and schedules

4. Next step

5. Select the Step3 file

6. Set time (preferably after the boot time)

the second question

Environment: QC9.0, operating system 2003 SP2, database SQL Server2005

Problem Description: Install QC9.0, encountered two problems, today all buttoned up.

2. Connect to database, prompt "property incorrectly attempting to connect to database with an error." Please check that the database is available and that the given parameters are correct.

QC 9.0 An issue that occurs when installing on XP and Win2003 QC 9.0 when installed on XP and Win2003, the step to the metabase is always to have incorrect attributes (SQL Server I use), but not properly installed, beginning to think that the password can not be empty, the server must install the database server, But after the trial, it won't solve the problem. Just in the configuration of our products, there is also a problem with the database connection, after the information, the original is XP and Win2003 on the need to play SQL Server SP4, otherwise there will be problems in remote access.

Now after the patch, the QC can finally connect to the database server

I am windows2000+sql server 2000+sq4 patch +QC built, very smooth also very easy to use.
The landlord to see if the SQL needs to be patched, or whether your OS need to patch
That installation I have successfully installed, and under the SQL2000 installed almost the same
Need to modify the connection mode in SQL2005
1: Open the SQL2005 perimeter configuration and start the remote connection in the SQL service
2: Open SQL Server Configuration Manager to start SQL Servers and modify the startup mode to Automatic
3: Open SQL Server Management Studio connects to the database using SQL authentication (validation)
The first 3 steps of normal pass after the installation of QC, the database where only need to fill in the correct sa password on the ~.
